I wonder if it’s actually more excitement that he’s going to spend time with you there? Because you might lie there a while while watching telly? I thought this because Tim Tim acts the same way when I go to bed at night. I don’t pen him in any more because it stops the early morning pen chewing plus it’s kinda cute he wants to sleep stay on the bed. He runs around excitedly and binkies when I come in to go to bed, then finds a spot to settle in for some pets. They really are social little things.

Sometimes my older boy Rumball likes to lie in the middle of the living room when the tv is on. Jersey too occasionally, though more when she was a single bun. It really does look like they’re watching tv. I doubt they see it well straight ahead of them. Maybe they like the sounds and light changes? Also, that they find it social? Hanging out, watching tv with my hoomin. :p

What i find amazing is how they don’t startle with some of the noises on tv yet they’ll go into full alert mode at some faint sound outside. They seem to be able to differentiate.

lol he doesnt sit with it straight ahead though usually with a slight angle, and usually only pays attention when theres lots on movement, he is such a funny little monster, also i accidentally left a treat bag on the bed, luckily closed when I came back I found him tossing it, he never fails to amaze me

My friend’s rabbit liked watching the figure skating during the Olympics. She’d come jump on the bed when they were on and sit there and watch it all. LOL I think other people on here have rabbits who like watching certain shows too.

Lolli certainly perks up at certain music when I’m watching a movie on my laptop. She used to do that at my apartment too. And because she’s not a fan of music, I’d usually get a disapproving, grumpy look.

That is an interesting fact Jersey! That rabbits can tell the difference from the TV noises and outside noises lol.
Chacha loves to flop and watch crime shows with me sometimes

                      This is all so cute

Tait doesn’t sit still long enough to watch TV haha. My cat watches Grey’s Anatomy with me though as soon as the opening song starts she comes running.

Squirrel thumped for the first time the other night. We were watching Numb3rs on netflix, and he didn’t like an angry loud man on the tv. He thumped at him twice, then calmed down after the scene changed. lol

My chinchillas loved to watch tv. I’ve heard a lot of other chinchilla owners say that theirs like to watch tv too and even have favorite shows. So I suppose it would be no surprise if rabbits liked to watch tv too. It’s funny how I’m always comparing chinchillas to rabbits, but after owning both I have found that they are very similar in many ways (despite the fact that they are completely unrelated). Anyway, my buns usually don’t sit still long enough in the living room to actually watch tv. They are much more interested in looking for playstation controller cords to chew.

Mine rarely react to the noise, but they do if there are high pitch alarm or siren noises or weird high pitch musical flourishes. Then they disapprove of this strange hoomin habit of ours. lol, otherwise they mostly ignore it. We’ll see if that changes at all when I move in to a new apartment that has more carpet for the them to get a better view of the TV.

When we got Hannah we were told that she loved to watch Indiana Jones. Lol. So far I haven’t seen any evidence of that, but I think we’ve only watched it once in the year we’ve had her, so maybe she didn’t like the one we picked.

Otto will sit right in front of the tv stand with his nose facing the glass doors. The tv is way above him, of course, but we always say “Otto, don’t sit so close to the tv! You’ll hurt your eyes!” Haha

It could be that he’s interested in the colors and flashes of light and when you turn it off he gets bored with it.

Boyfriend and I were watching Paranormal Activity 2 and Fievel FREAKED out. He was looking around at everything very suspiciously and would thump really hard and sprint under tables. It was weird! He wasn’t watching it but he was definitely listening! And it added to our anxiety.. Haha.

For a couple of years Spockie would run around after his supper until 7PM when West Wing came on, then he lay down on the area rug and watched it. At an angle, so he could see it.

He used to get up between 7:55 and 8:10 and put himself back into his cage for bed. We cracked up, and thought it was the theme song that cued him, but then we saw him do it when something else was on TV, or even if it was off that night, at the same time. (He and I were guests of my parents for a while.) He was the same before and after daylight savings time, so we were baffled.

One night I pointed out the huge clock on the wall that was visible to all of us, including him, and suggested that he just could tell time. Duh. silly humans.

We have 5. The lone male, Smokey, seems to enjoy watching football.

What’s his favorite team to watch?

There’s some guy on the internet whose pet always picks super bowl winners. He’s rich now.

I had rolled up my daughter’s cheerleading practice mat and it was in the living room right in front of the tv. Gabby figured out she could hop on it while it was rolled up and turned to face the tv and it looked like she was watching it with us. It was so cute and of course when I got up to get the camera she hopped down.
