All my bunnies peed – and pooped – at one time or other in their food dishes, usually in their early months as babies, until I found this:

          http://www.ferretdepot.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?

While it’s made for ferrets, the food bowl on the feeder is wide enough for bunnies’ snouts, but not too much wider for anything else! LOL
No problems whatsoever but I use a short bungee cord to secure the neck at the bowl to my bunnies pens. I also drilled small holes in the bottom of the bowl on the feeder so pellet dust can fall through. Depending on what type of habitat you have for your bunny, you may be able to hook it to its enclosure using the hooks on the feeder. No peeing or pooping in the feeder is guaranteed, though!

By the way, it’s the J Feeder I was referring to in my post, forgot to mention that, sorry LOL

Had it happen a few times when she was a baby. Then she learned that soiled pellets are no fun I guess.

Yep. Hodari did this a couple of times when she was two or three months old. Both times she peed on her entire nightly amount of pellets. GRRR. Immediately after the second time, I got her a bowl that I could clamp to her cage. I have it clamped over her litterbox now because she pees and poops wherever her pellets are. (She’s not as particular about hay placement, for some reason…)
