Last night Emily escaped her x pen it’s atleast three feet high! I have no idea how she did this and the again today so i have closed the x pen and is just in her cage while I am working. She had nothing to jump up on to! Could she have made it three feet over? Ahhh help! :/ she has also been thumping her feet at me still will not let me pick her up but now everynight we are doing grooming I may just be making her more upset but i want to be able to pet her!

Wooly would climb. I call him my little spiderrabbit. He would try to climb over the baby gate that was about 3 feet high, so maybe Emily climbed part of the way up?

Some rabbits can easily jump the 3 ft over the pens. You might have to clip a sheet over the top so she can’t jump out.

Cady has been quite the escape artist lately too!! except mostly i dont keep him in a cage he just climbs things I have blocked off! maybe its the weather only reason I caught him was because he got stuck in a tight place and couldnt get out, kind of wish I took a video!

Momo’s x-pen is 30 inches high. She was escaping it at about 4 1/2 months old. One day I watched how she did it. She would jump as high up as she could, and then climb the last bit. Then she would simply hop down onto the couch next to her pen. There are various things you can use to make a lid. Chicken mesh, a roll of inexpensive window screen, an old bed sheet. You can zip tie or binder clip them on. I went for the heavier duty mesh since I have 5 cats. They don’t go on top of her cage that I know of, and pose no threat to her. But I am still not wanting to risk a 15 pound cat falling on my not quite 5 pound bunny.

A bed sheet took care of it! I think she was climbing it but I never see her get out so I can not be sure.
I never want to come home and wonder where my baby is again! :/ scary moment!
                        Thanks for the help!
