I’ve read thumping can indicate that the rabbbit is angry but Bailey just started doing it today and it is really loud. It usually happens right after she comes up for love and I know she is happy. She just does it as she hops off the couch or runs away. What would she have to be angry about when she’s geting so much attention from me?

She will hop on my lap like a dog and demand to be pet for 10 mins with little head nudges and nips if I dare stop..lol

She could just be showing a little rabbitude. She also might just be showing that she’s happy. I know it’s not one of the official reasons for thumping, but Eddie would start thumping when he’d get REALLY excited. As long as she’s eating and pooping, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just chalk it up to her being a silly bunny. They do a lot that’s not explainable lol

Smudge thumps at everything. She thumps for treats, she thumps if Monkey is annoying her, she thumps if there is a bird outside, she thumps if a spider startles her, she thumps if her toys are in the wrong place. She thumps if she thinks its dinner time. She just likes to thump.

Moose only thumps if he is displeased or scared. Like when I had the hiccups. He was NOT impressed at me lol.

Some bunnies like to be loud I guess

I’ve been thumped at for sneezing and scaring Gabby too. She usually thumps when scared or mad at me.
