I adopted a 1 and half year old female lionhead. Ever since I got her she barely touches her hay, it will just sit there for weeks. She was on pellets that have all the goodies mixed in, so I switched her to straight pellets that are higher in fiber hoping to help her. She barely eats pellets now. She is picky.

The only thing she eats is her fresh veggies. Her poops are always small and not normal. Should I try something like Orchard hay?

Definitely try other kinds of hay. She may just not like the taste of her current stuff. Variety often helps

I would try different hays for sure. Don’t worry too much about the pellets and it’s good she eats veggies. Most of my rabbits don’t eat pellets. Are you sure her fecal pellets don’t look right? How do you know?

My guys were picky hay eaters and now go absolutely crazy for oat hay.

It’s okay if she doesn’t eat many pellets, but she should definitely be eating hay. Try different varieties of hay and you can also try different brands. Some rabbits may love Oxbow hay, while other rabbits may not care for it.
