Hello! I have been thinking about moving the furniture in my room, but it’s also my bunny’s main living space. I’m worried that he won’t handle me moving his house around very well. Do rabbit’s cope alright with this? He’s a holland lop, and has been living with the current furniture arrangements for two years.

It might seem like a silly question, but i’m worried about disturbing his home and safe place (under my bed).

        Thanks!

I think he should be ok. He might be confused and grumpy for a few days. He’ll be confused because rabbits instinctively determine all the escape routes and if you move everything he may be confused for a few hours. And he might just be grumpy cause some rabbits don’t like change. I have never heard of changing things around really stressing out rabbits. If you are able to keep his habitat the same, then he should be fine.

Eddie used to hate me moving anything and would get confused and grumpy on me. Everything had to be put back in the same place. On the other hand, Lolli LOVES when I move things and even does binkies sometimes. LOL I just had to move us out to my dad’s and it wasn’t too stressful on her because I kept her pen area set up the same.

Some rabbits like change as it is something new- where others like everything in its own place. You should just try it and see- especially if there are benefits to the bunny having everything rearranged.

Thank you guys, that was a big help He seems to be more excited than annoyed when I am making minor changes and likes to explore them. So I’m guessing he won’t freak out, but I’ll just have to try the big change and see what happens. It shouldn’t change his escape routes very much.
              Thanks for the advice!

I’m sure he will be fine if he’s a curious bun! You might want to relocate him to another room while things are getting moved and bunny-proofed since that might take some time to finish. Re-introduce him once everything is completely moved and put away.
