I was just wondering if there’s a similar hay that anyone can recommend. Since I got Pogo the teff grass he won’t eat timothy. I’m very low on the hay now and it’s sold out . Is there anywhere else I can get it? If not I have to get something else. Pogo likes it because it’s smaller and finer i think. He’s a tiny 2 pounder. He also might like the flavor but I think the big difference to him is the finer texture. Are any others like that? Any advice would be helpful. He’s on a diet (got a bit pudgy since his eye surgery) and he gets a lot more hay now that he’ll actually eat the Teff.

        Thanks

        Tiffany

I know…that Teff is harder to find. We should be getting more Teff in in a couple of months once the crops have been harvested. Hopefully this year they will be able to grow enough to last throughout the whole year. It’s also called Tiffany Hay, so you may be able to find it online that way too. Though I know that many suppliers found themselves out of stock last year as they weren’t fully prepared for the demand as the popularity has grown.

I found this link but not sure how convenient it is for you to buy from there: http://www.homesteadsporthorses.com/mares.html

Oh rats, I just found out today from our supplier that we may not have Teff back. I haven’t had a chance to inquire about exactly why though. I will next week. But BOOOO!
