A good motto is “when in doubt, don’t.” It applies to many situations, but in this case, do not let him eat anything but bunny food or designated bunny chew toys. A baby will taste EVERYTHING, and needs to learn what is a no-no. Anything dyed has a risk of chemicals unless it clearly states non-toxic and safe for children, for example. Assume it’s not good for him.

You may be surprised to hear that a regular yellow pages is safe for bunnies, because it is printed with soy based ink. So, it makes a fun chew toy and diggy box toy if you take the pages and shred them, or let him chew and pull on it. A phone book on the floor can lead to a happy fun time for a bunny!

Willow baskets are also a safe and edible toy that bunnies can chew on.
