both of my little boys Apfel (5 months) and Poof (3 years) were both litter trained. poof for over a year only went out of his litterbox if he HAD to, or we were out and he had no litter box. Apfel was just a good boy…but now they have been going everywhere besides the litterbox.

any tips on retraining these babies? like putting two litterboxes out? i tried the hay trick, they could care less.

It could be territorial poops. You did say they were bonded, right?
I’m not sure if they are neutered, but it helps big time with litter habits. The only time I see poops out of my rabbit’s box is in my room.. as I’ve recently let her in and she is leaving her droppings as she thinks my room is hers

I have always just provided a clean litterbox with hay in it. If you don’t put hay in it try putting some in there and make sure your buns are spayed and neutered because that really helps with litterbox training.

Yes, it could be to Apfel been a teen bun now. Their habits can deterioate around the time. Poof could be reacting to Apfels hormones as they can make the pee smell different. Territorial poos smell also.
