Our beautiful Prince died last night. We aren't sure how or why but we are very sad. He was about 25-27 years old so he could have died from old age. my sister went out to feed him this morning and found him dead. My sister is taking it really hard He was her first horse and she did every thing with him. I feel so bad for her....

Prince was absolutely gorgeous, I'm so sorry you've lost him. I lost my mare after having her for 32 years so I know how totally devastated you and your sister are, lots and lots of (((((hugs)))))

So sorry for the loss of Prince...that's so sad that your sister found him. My condolences to your family. He was very beautiful but he led a long life and was obviously loved and well cared for. No horse could ask for more.

I am so sorry Mocha, we lost Shawnee after 36 years and Duke at 29 years, losing a horse is like losing your closest family member. He is gorgeous, and what a perfect name. I will be thinking of you and your family. *hugs* to you, {{{Gallop Free Prince}}}

Somewhere in time's own space
There must be some sweet pastured place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.

 

I'm so sorry to hear about Prince :-( He lived to quite an old age and it sounds like he had a wonderful life! He was lucky to live with your family.

It doesn't seem like its real. I feel like if I go outside he will be waiting at the fence for me. :'(

My condolences to you and your sister Mocha. Horses a magnificent animals and are close to the heart. It must be very hard when they leave us. They have a strong spirits and I hope you feel Prince near and it helps you heal.
