I decided to switch Lolli’s pellets from kayee brand to oxbow.  And while I mixed what i had left of the katyee together with the oxbow, Lolli doesn’t seem to be a fan of the oxbow.  So…..i think I just solved the pellet problem.  LOL  I really didn’t mean to, but she hasn’t been eating too much of them.  And has been eating more hay and begging for treats.  Eating the hay is good and no, she’s not getting any treats.

I recently switched from Martin’s to Oxbow and they were extremely disapproving of it. They were not fans of the Oxbow. It’s been a few weeks and Stormy just recently started eating them. The stinkers. I guess Oxbow pellets are not as tasty as other brands.

I just switched to Oxbow after Logan’s last vet appointment. They got to taste-test them at the vet, and ate them all up, but today they left some pellets in the bottom of their bowl. Bailey and Logan agree that Oxbow is not as tasty as their other pellets- but I told them that’s too bad! These are much healthier and better for Logan’s dust allergies.

I saw last night that she IS eating them. Just very slowly and obviously over a couple of days. lol With the Kaytee brand, she would sit there and munch on them for a few minutes. She’s not doing that now. I wonder if switching to Oxbow is like us going from a sugary cereal to a health bran cereal. LOL I’m hoping since she’s not a big fan, she’ll lose some weight.

Are you using the timothy based Oxbow pellets? My two boys were not fans but I have switched them to the alfalfa based Oxbow pellets and are doing much better. I only give them about 2 tbsp twice a day, as obviously the alfalfa is fatty but… better than everything else I’ve found! Also, if you wanna switch again, Zupreem is a great food and timothy based.

They prefer the alfalfa because it is sweeter. I would switch back to timothy. Alfalfa pellets have more calcium, more protein and less fiber that adult rabbits need. It would be best to go back to timothy pellets, Tate.

Oxbow are very, very sound pellets nutritionally. The Kaytee isn’t horrible, but I think Oxbow meets more of those requirements. Very good analogy on switching from a sugary cereal to bran… it’s probably something like that!

Well, I got the Look. “What? What is this? Why are you feeding me this?” look. Then it changed to the “what?! still this food? finnnnneee, I guess I’ll eat it” looks. lol I mixed it in with the rest of the kaytee I had left. I’m pretty sure she picks out the kaytee pellets. But now she eats ALL her lettuce. She’s not a big fan of spinach so she was leaving it and eating all the rest. Now she’s eating spinach and all.

I weighed her on my digital scale. It said she weighs 7 lbs. Which is good if it’s accurate. I couldn’t get her to sit there for more than a second. At the vet last month, she weight 7.4 lbs.
