Today we had to put Monster to sleep...when we adopted him he had a growth on his lower eye lid and recently it started to get bigger and seemed to have spread. It got to the point where he couldn't blink his eye cause the tumor had gotten so bad. In one week it had gotten suprisingly worse and the vet was concerned that it was cancerous and spreading. Because of what had developed in one week it went from just removing the growth to removing the eye and sewing the space shut. We were bringing him in today planning on a $400 surgery and it went up to $1400. We just couldn't afford that and I feel horrible about it.... we decided it wasn't worth putting him through a surgery (that we couldn't really afford) have to go through a recovery time period, only to possibly have to deal with an ongoing disease and be without his eye... Thanks for letting me post my situation..I'm really torn up about it. That's all I can post for now... here are two pics of him.
