CRAP!!! So I had to go to the pet store this morning to get some things for my dogs, and low and behold I see a bunny sitting all alone in a cage that is just stacked on top of a bunch of boxes nowhere near all the other animals. He looked so lonely and sad. There was a sign on his cage that said “Male bunny 6-8 months, free to good home” of course with the purchase of cage. I asked the salesperson and she said that he was bought from their store a few weeks ago and the people didn’t want him anymore so they brought him back. Well me being the sucker that I am decided to take him home. *sigh*

So now I have to keep him separated from Nibbler until I get them both fixed I suppose. He is very skiddish and they have him in either pine or cedar bedding, either way it’s icky. But I’m going to wait for my husband to get home to clean his cage out and give him some good bedding. For now I’ve just got  his cage on the floor in the living room but I’m leaving him in it so he can get used to the surroundings, but he can also see what is going on in the house from where I have him situated.

*sigh* I let the bunny eyes get to me. He’s a lop eared bunny! I’ll post some pictures later. I guess I’m a bit worried if Nibbler turns out to be a boy that bonding the two of them might be harder.

That’s how I got Fiver. My daughter was the one who noticed him off in a corner by himself, looking at her, and she says, “Mom, look, there’s a bunny back there!” We went to investigate and found that he had been returned TWICE. One person (I use the term loosely) had kept him in a dark basement and the other had four eight to ten year old boys who spent their day harassing him, chasing him and picking him up by the ears and he was brought back because he wasn’t ‘friendly enough’.
I got him for free, but had to buy the cage. So yeah….it’s taken me three years to socialize him decently. We still have those moments when he doesn’t quite know what to make of me.
I know it’s wrong to contribute to the pet store trade, but I’m going to thank you for rescuing this wee bun. Do post pix when you can. He sounds precious!

The funny thing is, I didn’t even know that they had rabbits! I’ve never seen them there. So I got caught off guard, lol.

OMG. I am officially in love. I opened his cage door just to see how he felt about it, and he was hesitant about coming out. But he is out and about now (I have Nibbler back in his own room). The new bunny is so happy! He is zooming around the house and he is all ready binkying! I can’t believe it. I have counted 3 binkies all ready!

                    NOW SOME PICTURES! : =D

“Hey, how’s it going? Yeah I pretty much own this couch now.”

“Bunny meet Sissy. Sissy, meet bunny.”

“TURN AROUND SO I CAN SNIFF YOUR BUTT!”

Bonus of Nibbler! Sorry for the evil red eyes, I didn’r realize my flash was on and Nibbler took off so fast when it went off, lol.

Michelle (Michelle&Lolli) is going to flip!

What a sweetie. I hope he and Nibbler hit it off. 2 boys can bond just fine.

Add me to the list of “people who came home with a bunny when not intending to”.

He has a name now! I let my husband name him, haha. His name is Grahf. He is so named after one of my husband’s favorite video game characters, haha. I wanted to name him Oz but my husband insists on Grahf.

So having two bunnies is so interesting all ready. Last night Nibbler accidentally got out of his room (without us knowing of course). So while we were eating dinner last night we looked up and saw that Nibbler was in Grahf’s cage nose to nose with him! Grahf was sitting in his litter box and they were just nose to nose like “What’s up?!” So Nibbler turned around and started munching on some of Grahf’s hay, haha. But later Nibbler tried to get back into Grahf’s cage and Grahf started thumping like crazy, lol. So I have to be more mindful of keeing them separated. But it’s funny, Nibbler seems like he loves Grahf. He tries to rub his chin on him and was licking him, aww. And when they were both out in the kitchen he was following Grahf around everywhere. *sigh* I can’t wait to have them both neutered so I can properly bond them.

But Grahf seems to understand that he has found his forever home! Last night he was flopping everywhere, doing binkies and just in general acting happy. He is very affectionate. My husband laid on the floor last night and Grahf was climbing all over him and licking him. Then I was sitting ont he couch and Grahf jumped up and flopped in my lap. I’m so happy I brought him home.

So cute!!  Those long ears make me wonder if he has some French or English Lop in him.  And I love his coloring!!!  I would have been totally suckered in by him too and I have pretty good willpower.

I rescued a bun from a terrible situation (still have her too). Her previous owner was saying how fearful and boring she was. As soon as I brought her inside to be a house bunny and gave her some fresh hay and veg… She went crazy! Binkies and flops all over the place. She was so happy to be warm and safe and full.

Im sure your bun is feeling like that right now. Uber cute by the by. I love his long ears.
