I finally found hay that Chacha loves and seems to always have her head stuck in (which is a good thing, lol!)… but now I was notified that the company, Valley Organic is going out of business .

Has anybody ordered the Orchard Grass bales from the BB store? How would you/your bunny review it? My bunny is quite fussy. I bought a willow basket off another site and it came with Orchard Hay ,but she didn’t gobble it up like she does with the Valley organic kind.

I just broke the bank and bought 25lbs of the Valley Organic.. At least it will give me a few months to research hay for her

I thought the hay you had was from BB.

The hay that I bought is available in the BB store – but the hay is from a company called Valley Organic in Oregon. After the hay is packed, it is sent to me. I was just inquiring about the Orchard bales that are available and if picky rabbits will eat it . The Valley organic sells only Organic types of hay.

Alot of people have emailed me upset by the news as this hay was just recently introduced into the store and steadily gained fans.  My own very picky bunny for one — took me forever to find hay he ate like candy.   It’s very difficult for the smaller organic hay companies to gain momemtum.  This company was, but just not fast enough to make it.       My picky bunny, Jack, will eat the Orchard from the mini-bales, but so far the Valley Organic Hay was the only one I have ever found that he just went nuts for….and I have alot of access to different kinds of hay, so that’s really sayin’ somethin.

I will, however, be on a new quest to find another Organic hay that will pass the stringent Jack test.

Thanks Binkybunny. Please let us all know when you find a new company diva and I would greatly appreciate that.

I just ordered a 10lb box this month and I’m using it now. I ordered a 25lb box today. Will it be safe to keep sealed in the box it comes in until I open and use it?

After reading about how good this hay is, I ordered 3 bags a little over a week ago. I ordered it from the Valley Organic website. For some reason, I have trouble accessing the store here. I have ordered from the BB store before, but more often than not, I get the ‘page cannot be displayed’ message when clicking on a category for the store, or when trying to log into the store.

I got my receipt from Paypal that day, but I never heard a word from Valley Organic about when it would be shipped. I just went to their website today and all I get is a website hosting page. Does anyone know if they have already shut down? I know it was posted here that they were going out of business, but I don’t understand why they were still taking orders if they didn’t have the hay to fulfill those orders.

I sent an email to the address listed on my PayPal receipt. I wondered if anyone else had recently ordered directly from Valley Organic and if they have received their order or received word that no more orders would be shipped out.

Edited to add:  I just went to the PayPal site and I didn’t realize that I could track shipments from there.  I have rarely bought anything through PayPal, and it’s been a while.  I see that the package is scheduled to be delivered today by the USPS.  So it looks like I am getting my shipment after all.

I was going to delete this post, but I don’t see an option for that.

Tobyluv, I have the same issue. Do you have firefox browser? It works using that.
Binkybunny the owner sent a mass email before the 20th of february saying that valley organic is out of business and the last day to order was feb 22nd. It was first come, first serve ordering, I believe.
If your order shipped, you would have received an email from binkybunny, not paypal. I do pay with that as well!

You’ll have to email her… I believe to get things fixed.
I got my 25 lb box I ordered before then.

I’m a holdout, and resistant to change, so I still use IE as my browser. I have been having more trouble with it lately and I’m thinking of adding Google Chrome, since I’ve heard a lot about it. I thought I must be the only one who had trouble accessing the store here, since I’ve never seen it mentioned.

I never received any communications from Valley Organic, just the order confirmation from PayPal. I placed my order on Feb. 21. There was nothing on their website about closing or last days to order. My mail should be coming at any time now and supposedly it will include my order.

I sent another email to Valley Organic, telling them that I found the tracking information on PayPal, but I haven’t gotten any replies.

I would email binkybunny instead because she is in charge of sending the order to valley organic.

My order was delivered by a mail carrier late yesterday afternoon. It is very nice hay. The orchard grass is especially fresh and fragrant. My bunnies have had some of each and they very much enjoyed it. It’s really sad that the company went out of business.
