I finally got some money and will be taking Lolli to the vet for her ears tomorrow.  Wish us luck.  Especially me cause Lolli’s vet visits tend to be at least $200 a pop.  (Always something major going on with her!)   I will update of course!

On a side note, she does NOT like being groomed.   The last couple of times I’ve had her on the couch with me.  She goes on my pillow and I’d start brushing and she just digs the heck out of the pillow.  Then she tries to attack the comb.  All growly too.  LOL   I’m pretty sure I wasn’t hurting her.  I use the hair buster comb.  Some of the areas I had to use a bit more pressure to get the clumps.  I think she was just mad.  She wore herself out!     She settled down on my blankets between my legs and I had stroked her from head to tail for a few minutes before she hopped off.   I couldn’t believe how grumpy she got!  LOL

Yikes, I’d be looking for a vet with more reasonable rates. Seriously!
Is this their standard fee or do you mean it can add up to this because you usually have to buy meds or have tests done?

Jerseygirl – Including Lolli’s spay, I’ve had to take her in for stitches 3 times. Once was when I first got her and let Eddie get too close. He bit her cheek and like held on. It completely freaked me out. In any of her pictures, if you can see a little grey/white mark on her cheek, that’s from the sutures. They had to put in neon pink ones so they could see them. lol The 2nd time was her spay. The 3rd time was when she opened a quarter sized (1/2 inch) wound on her neck from obsessive grooming. So yeah, my little girl is not cheap. LOL And they always had to put her under so between that, the cost of them doing the sutures and then medications afterwards, she’s averaged between $200 to $350.

So I’m really hoping I can get out of there just paying the office visit (about $40) and another $12 for a nail clip. LOL
