I’ve been using Good Mew’s which is 100% newspaper pellet (just like Yesterday News but cheaper).  It says on the bag it composts, but I am finding it takes a lot longer that it should or I need it too.  Right now I have 2 full compost bins and I’m not allowed to add a third, so I have been having to put the soiled litterbox contents in the garbage.

Does anyone else on here compost YN? If so, how long does it take to compost?  I’m thinking about switching to wood stove pellets because I assume saw dust composts faster than newspaper mush.  (I didn’t like wood stove pellets because the buns would track saw dust out of the litterbox and make a mess.)

        Any thoughts?

I’m sorry, I am in an apartment complex and can’t compost.
but I am replying to bump this to the top in case someone who does can read it and give you some input.

I haven’t heard any complaints about wood stove pellet sawdust being a problem. Try the Feline Pine pellets. They need to be untreated WSP’s, which Feline Pine is. The kind made for cats is cheaper and fine for Bunnies.

We used to use YN and now use wood stove pellets, mostly because the latter are a lot cheaper. Both will compost nicely, but both will take a while. I’d give it a year.
