I have discovered that Orchard Hay has different cuts.

And I have discovered that I’ve wasted some money on some hay that is ‘too crunchy’ for my bunny’s taste.

She does not like the light green/brown crunchy Orchard grass.

She prefers the soft, dark green Orchard.

It seems like the crunchy orchard is the only one in season at pet stores

I’ve called a feed store in a nearby city and was told that they carry Orchard that is not out of its stems.. or something?  The guy that I spoke to said it is the soft soft orchard grass. He said the hay is about 4 foot tall and will cost 12.95. I am going to go check it out on Thursday.

If it isn’t what I am looking for, does anyone know if BB has the soft soft dark orchard hay? I am getting desperate  Soft Orchard is Chacha’s main staple of hay. She gets a mix of oat, but will mainly eat Orchard. Timothy is not an option as I am allergic to it

When I bought the orchard grass mini bale from BB back when I had 2 rabbits…. it was very soft and nice. Bun absolutely adored it. Have you tried it before?

I am thinking about purchasing a bag of the Organic Orchard to give it a try.

I bought a 9lb bag of Oxbow Orchard a couple months back and it was snubbed by Miss Picky I am just afraid of buying a big bale and she won’t eat it

I’ve looked up photos and it looks like Chacha prefers 2nd cut Orchard Hay. I didn’t know Orchard had cuts.. o_O; or 3rd cuts.. omg lol
