Hi everyone, just moved with my 2 bunnies from Vermont to Colorado!  It was a long drive, but they did well.  One of my rabbits suffered from GI stasis a few days after arriving here, but with some TLC he came out of it within 48 hours, thank god.

Is there by any chance anyone here who lives in the Boulder/Broomfield/Lafayette/Longmont  area with a good vet recommendation?  I already checked out the local HRS site, but its nice hearing from someone who has had a positive personal experience.  I grew up with a wonderful small-town vet in Vermont and its hard to find that kind of care and fair pricing anywhere else.  I also have a cat and would love to be able to take her to the same vet and develop more of a relationship with the practice.

        Thanks!

You’ve done what I was going to suggest.

I believe Sage Cat and LizzieKnittyBunny live in Colorado – not sure if it’s the Boulder area or not…hopefully they will see this email or you can PM them. Probably Lizzie – Sage Cat has been busy and hasn’t been on in awhile (we miss her).

Dr. Guerrera at The Animal Doctor is fantastic. He’s recommended by all the rabbit shelters. I’ve gone to him once for Mr. Bunny’s skin condition and once for his salivary gland infection, and he’s amazing. He knows a whole lot about rabbits, unlike a lot of other vets I’ve seen.

(Jeez, this sounds like one of those testimonial sections that all the sketchy companies put up. Oops. )

Yep… Dr. Guerrera at The Animal Doctor! I can’t recommend him enough. Sagecat and I both go to him for our buns, and he is excellent.

Not only is he a terrific vet, but he really cares about animals. I’ve actually been on the phone with him before, asking him questions about our buns, free of charge. He takes a personal interest in the animals he cares for, and I don’t think you could find better!

                Welcome to Colorado!!
