Hi guys something really funny happen yesterday, thought i share it with you guys. Zoe for the first time in her life went to school (preschool) My 3 yr old goes to preschool from 8am to 2pm since i work from 7am to 6pm. So in the mornings my housekeeper takes my little girl to school. Well yesterday at 10am(recess time for my daughter) i receive a call that i need to report to school immediately (so worried by now) i arrive to school and the principal takes me to the school yard to find Zoe was out there in this huge yard chasing the little toddlers around and the ring leader was my Luna (my daughters name is Stella Luna, that is why she decided to name the white bun Stella, lol, after her)  The principal was mad and suspended her for 2 days My lovely daughter had managed to stick Zoe in her bookbag and took her out when it was recess time to play with her, of course this caused a big commotion among the other toddlers and teachers since they couldnt catch her. They had to get all 25 kids to settle down and sit down in the yard to see if Zoe would stop chasing after THEM, and sure enough once she saw my daughter sitting on the floor she hopped on over to where Luna was and laid on her lap and proceeded to grooming my daughters sweaty face.  Now I have to take 2 days off of work to stay home with her since she was suspended. So yeah that was Zoe’s first big day of school. (really funny to watch all these adults making a big commotion over a 3lb lil harmless bun who just wanted to play with the little one’s, lol) my daughter of course is grounded even though i know she meant no harm and just wanted to have fun with Zoe.

That’s a cute story that I’m sure you’ll be torturing Luna with the rest of her life :~)

Seriously, they suspended her from preschool? That’s pretty ridiculous lol Jeez, kids do stuff! You’d think the preschool staff would know that since it’s their job.

omygosh that is too funny… I had such a great mental image of a little bunny chasing toddlers around a schoolyard and then flopping down with your daughter to cuddle.

Pretty ridiculous that she was suspended though… overreaction much?

LOL that was funny! I did something similar with a kitten when I was little.

Suspended from preschool?? I didn’t even know that was possible lol.

YES SUSPENDED!!! I though it was ridiculous too, its a private school so they are pretty strict. I tried to convince the principal to just no let her play during recess (recess is 15min) but she wouldnt have it, said Luna posed a real danger to the other students by bringing an animal to school (bunny could have bit one of the students, eventhough Zoe would never do that she’s so affectionate, one of the kids could have fallen and broken an arm or leg while tring to catch the bun, and other ridiculous excuses) This is the 2nd time she gets suspended actually last time it was because she decided to go into the restroom and throw wet paper towel up in the ceiling so it could stick to the ceiling (my genius of a boyfriend taught her this) and was suspended for 3 days. If she gets four suspensions she will be expelled. I think a bit rough BUT they have a GREAT academic program. so have to bite my tongue everytime they punish her for any little thing. She got a time out when i got her back home, and told her if she did that again I would give Chomper and Zoe away, at this point shes begging for forgiveness (wouldnt do it, just trying to scare her so she wont be tempted again to do this)

lol… that’s a hilarious story! like sarita said, you’ll have to torture her with this one for years

the school is intense! wow. worries about liability – a sad part of life as we know it.

LMAO Oh that is funny! And it’s good that Zoe knew to could back to your daughter when they all calmed down.

Ummm….kids do things like this. My cousin was always trying to sneak cats into the car whenever they were going some place when he was your daughter’s age. Also, what about the kid who’s going to eventually bring a frog to class? lol

Yes that school is waaaay to strict what damage could Zoe possibly do to a group of 3 and 4yr olds????? But yeah my buns LOVE Luna, they follow her around in the front yard which is funny to see and my neighbor loves seeing her play with them, he sits in his porch to watch as Zoe and Chomper run after her. They are like dogs they chase after her. everbody that passes by stay and stare for a while because they cant believe a rabbit is capable of playing, Most people think the only thing rabbits do is destroy gardens I rhink they love her too because she shares her banana and apple with them She also kindly helps Zoe reach that special pot of roses i have planted in a pot and put up in hanging basket in the porch (i keep the flowers i dont want Zoe to eat hanging in the porch) so that she could eat them. Shes Chomper and Zoe’s partner in crime

This is a picture of the culprit, this is her giving me her sad eyes yesterday when i was lecturing her.

Omgoodness! What a sweetie she is though. Honestly, it’s easy to see how a 3yr old would impulsively do something like this. I too can’t really understand the suspension…it doesn’t teach the child much does it? Perhaps that’s just done so the other parents don’t get up in arms about an incident.

It’s good there wasn’t any great dramas. I can see the risks and how things could have panned out differently…..but it is really funny. You have your work cut out for you if Luna has been suspended twice already! lol. I’m secretly admiring her spunk ;o).

Omygosh… she is ADORABLE! She looks like a little doll! I can’t imagine anyone wanting to punish her, even a mean old principal who must have had a bad Monty Python experience.

Oh my gosh! Look at those eyelashes! She is adorable!

Another thought about this whole situation:  how in the heck are preschoolers supposed to understand what a suspension is?  How much is it going to affect them or their behavior anyways?  I would losing recess for 2 days would have a bigger effect like you suggested.  But hey – what do I know….

Moz, when I was in 3rd grade I got a pink slip for throwing wet paper towels in the bathroom too And I took one of our baby ducks to school in my backpack in 1st grade. I wanted to have him for show and tell. Lol. My mom wasn’t very thrilled with me for that either….lol

By suspending a child from school, in most cases you are punishing the parent since they now have to make special arrangements for care, just like you have to do now. Of course highschool would be different, but definitely preschool and elementary school punishes the parents. Yay!!! I get to stay home with mom and play with the bunnies for two days!!! Ohhh man what a punishment. I would bring a bunny to school everyday if this was the case for me! I also agree…I think having to lose recess would have a larger effect on a preschooler than staying home with mom all day. Vacation!!!

I agree with Jersey, you sure got your work cut out for ya with Stella hehehe!!

Funny story, but also a little bit scary! I am so thankful Zoe (and your daughter and the other kids) are alright. It could have turned out very, very badly. I’m a little surprised she’d bring Zoe, and not a tinier baby bunny…

That’s a funny/cute story! Zoe had quite an adventure. But I’m pretty surprised that your daughter’s school is so strict. Although when I was in elementary school, I remember looking at a cute rabbit that one of the teachers kept near the classroom area. My friend and I got into alot of trouble because of that. I got a “blue card” or something.

I do see this could have ended not so well, but since everybody and animal was fine I love the story! Kids! You couldn’t guess what they are going to come up with next!
Love your daughter’s name and her sad eyes are hard to stay mad at!

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!! And yeah I know things could have turned out differently but thank god they didnt it. And i totally agree about suspension being about punishing the parents. She’s too small to comprehend that her not going to school is a punishment for her. And yes i do have my work cut out for me with her she’s a little troublemaker she cant sit still for a second, I had her in nursery school but the teacher said Luna was probably so active and getting herself into trouble since she was a bit advanced, she always finished before all the other little toddlers and thats when she would get up to do her mischievious things, so the teacher gave me a letter to take to preschool so that they could test her, she scored high and they allowed me to enroll her into preschool and that’s helped a bit but she still sometimes does things she not suppose to, teacher said she has a really wild imagination and active mind. She has no siblings so some people are telling me thats the problem. lol i really doubt that. She does talk to the rabbits alot and plays with them ALOT, she invites them into her playhouse which Chomper and Zoe like and she will talk to them for hours in there. So maybe she might be feeling a bit lonely, i told the teacher about this and said alot of kids do this but with their dolls or toys. Oh and the reason she didnt take one of the baby buns is because they dont chase her around they will follow her but once she starts running they just go back, where as Chomper and Zoe WILL run after her and chase her. But she does love to cuddle with the babes.
