Chiller had werewolf movies the first week of october.   I got to watch them without Fouad fussing much.

Last nite I tried to watch Banshee on chiller.   I get Kawthar….. this gves me nightmares.  I told him dont’ look at the scary parts.  He said this is disturbing me.  Do you want to disturb me?

I said this is october the scary month.  I told you about this.   So I didnt’ get to watch Banchee which only had 20 minutes left anyways I told him.  But no  We ended up watching   Ice Age 3 on HBO.    Thump.

So tonite the Lovely Bones is on in 20 minutes.  I hope oh how I hope I get to watch it without him pitching a fit.  Thump

I tell him I guess I will have to go rent the movies so I can watch them in the daytime when you are napping.  Isnt’ my fault they come on at 8.

He was cutting up some zuchinni n eggplant to cook and I notice he is gone.  I hadn’t even turned on the tv yet.    Wonder if he is at the truck.

Does anyone else have this problem with their spouses.   We only have 1 tv right now.   Maybe I should get another one for the bedroom.

I knew I should have kept that little one.

Watched it.    Kept waiting for some action to start.     Actually wasn’t that great a movie.   Ok but kinda slow for me.

Anyone else watched a GOOD scary?

Watching Kill Theory right now.  Once hubby comes in to sit he will start fussing.   Now that is more my type movie  but what the heck

Guess I could watch comedy   Robin Williams.    HE gets too hyper for me  Goes too fast sometimes.

Anyways  Anyone else got something good?

I can’t handle a lot of scary, but I am fond of some of the horror classics like The Shining, Alien, Carrie, The Amityville Horror, The Exorcist, The Silence of the Lambs, etc. I’m a big Hitchcock fan. I prefer psychological thrillers over blood and gore. Some of my Hitchcocks favorites include Psycho, The Birds, and Vertigo.

I can’t handle a lot of violence, though. When I watched Sin City for the first time, I almost puked…

              O_o

I do love vampire and zombie films. 28 Days Later is a good one, and Shaun of the dead is sooooooo funny. Interview with the Vampire is always a kick.

I watched a really frightening movie the other day called El Orfanato (The Orphanage). I watched it because I’m a huge Guillermo Del Toro fan. It was SCARY! But quite good!

Other than those, I stay away from horror. I get nightmares really easily. I couldn’t even watch the X-Files growing up, because it freaked me out so much!

Blood n gore isn’t my fav stuff either.   I like plot and action.

                Alfred Hitchcock is good.

I read  some of his short stories.   Once had this man angry with rude people.   So he decided to kill rude people.   HE would stick a note of what the rude person did like shout at someone or not holding the door for someone.

After about 3 bodies with notes people became alot nice to each other.    lol.   Loved that one.

I love Being Human  on BBC but season 2 is over.  thump.   Season 3 will be coming

I love the twilight movies n books.

I love Alfred Hitchcock! I’ve seen so many of his movies and I always think they are so smart and funny and suspenseful! If you haven’t seen it yet… watch “Rope”. It is shot continuously and in “real time”… it’s great! My mom (for my 16th bday) got me a book about Hitchcock and it tells about all his movies and how each was conceived and filmed and all this great insider info! (Yes… I am a dork.)

I do not like blood and gore. I like smart plots and suspense. I am a big Stephen King (books) fan… his movie adaptations I don’t always like… altho some (Shining, Carrie, Green Mile, Shawshank, Secret Window) are good.

I loooooove the Green Mile, both the book and the movie. They both make me cry.

I loved reading the Shining and Salem’s Lot, too. I tried to read “It,” but it scared me so badly I couldn’t get past the first forty pages, lol

I love scary movies! If it is in the horror or thriller category I want to see it lol. Most of the newer one’s aren’t that good there are a few that give me the chills or make me jump but not many.

I like older movies like He knows When You’re Alone, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Suspiria, etc.

I don’t really like horror movies that involve kids like Pet Sematary or Wicked Little Things

But most of the time I end up watching them alone since no one else can “handle” scary movies lol

I did love the book of The Shining so much more than the movie. There is so much to the story that isn’t in the movie. The hedge animals freak me out. I’ve never read “It”, that’s one of the few King books I haven’t read.

I can’t take the suspense in Thriller/Horror films. It gives me terrible anxiety and I just wanna talk the entire time and ask what is going to happen next so that I don’t get scared rofl! BT you didn’t strike me as a scary movie fan!!

I love horror movies! But I can’t watch anything about hauntings or ghosts because I can’t get them out of my head and because I believe in ghosts.

My bf is a huge horror movie buff and we own everything from early 1900 silent black and whites to all the 80’s classics like Nightmare on Elmstreet to all the new releases. Most of them really suck though, like the ones from Europe in the 70’s. I love the old cheezy slasher movies though! Don’t show your bazongas or you’re gonna get killed!

I love vampire movies and books (I have all Anne Rice’s books) but not all the new mainstream stuff like Twilight. I find vampires sooooo sexy. Louis a la Interview with the Vampire! I wouldn’t run away from him! Sorry I’m getting carried away now

My hubby owns every Stephen King book, comic & Movie (I got him all the movies lol). He owns all the ‘SAW’ movies as well. I like some scarey movies, but i love any movie I don’t know what’s going to happen next. If I can guess who did what or the ending, i don’t want to watch it.

I am a Halloween NUT! I love Vampire movies/books, and anything ‘spooky’.

I recently went to Halloween Horor nights at the Universal Studios in Hollywood, OMG is was AWSOME! The House of 1000 Corpses was my favorite haunted house, SAW was good too. I’m not scared of any of these things, when the actors try adn scare me i scare them back LOL But it’s great!

I also hate clowns!!! And most types of dolls. I find porcelain dolls extremely creepy.

I generally stay away from clown and doll movies…

I did hate clowns for years and years until I saw Cirque du Soleil in Vegas. It was called “O” and had beautiful scenes revolving around water. But there were a few scenes with the funniest, goofiest clowns that, after that night, I could not longer hate clowns!

                                          Funny old world : D

LizzieKnittyBun I’m with you, I love psychological horror but can’t stand slasher films. HATED Sin City, it was ridiculously misogynistic and gross. I love Hitchcock and David Cronenberg. Two of my favorite horror movies are Dead Ringers (Cronenberg) and Jacob’s Ladder (Adrian Lyne) which are not technically horror by some people’s standards, but really chill you and move you on a deep emotional level. The Fly by Cronenberg is closer to horror in that it’s also disgustingly gory, and so disturbing… District 9 that came out last year borrowed heavily from The Fly.

LittlePuffyTail – you’re right to believe in ghosts, I do too because I’ve seen them, LOL! I really have, I have one that comes and goes in my apartment but he’s shy and not a problem at all. I’ve never seen a scary threatening ghost, although a couple of my friends have, and I’m not hoping to see one of those!! I think a lot of the random spirits floating about our world are either benign or uninterested, there are very few that are dangerous as far as I can tell.

Stephen King bores me. He just drones on and on and on using 4 pages to describe something. Ugh.

MayaConsuelo- I used to work for a law office that was in a really old, creepy house. And all the staff was certain it was haunted, weird stuff would happen all the time; radio volume changing or shutting off, sounds of someone walking in the attic, drawers not staying closed, cold breezes out of nowhere. I hated the rare times that I was all alone the building, it was seriously scary, felt like I was being watched.

I don’t watch anything scary AT ALL. Heck, I even find Barnaby (oh, you guys probably don’t know that one? British crime serie?) scary haha. And it freaks me out when I watch these things. I passed out once during the first minutes of a scary movie and since then I have just realised it is not for me.

I did live in an old house in the woods a few years ago. It was my grandma’s and she has always said it was haunted and that someone knocked on the door every night. That was scary! Everything was pitch black outside and I remember there were no curtains in the house. I don’t know how I survived those months living there alone. I even lived through a blackout one night. I remember calling my dad, who told me to go down in the basement and check something, and I was so convinced I was going to get slaughtered down in the basement (the doors did not lock properly so everyone could enter) that I didn’t even bother bringing the torch light ’cause there was no point . Brrrr…so glad I don’t live there anymore!
