Do bunnies like pumpkins? I want to get a big pumpkin and make a playhouse out of it! Just wanted to know if that was ok or if it would make bunny sick?

It is considered a treat and some rabbits like it and some don’t. Is the playhouse for the rabbit? If so, then I wouldn’t do that…it would be messy and smelly eventually – probably not the best playhouse for a rabbit.

Pumpkins start to decay pretty rapidly, especially if they’re warm which this would be if it was inside. You’d probably only really get 1 day out of it before there was too much bacteria in it for it to be safe for bunnies

But you could carve a pumpkin and scoop out the good part (after disposing of the gook), making the pumpkin thinner than usual to display, and puree the fresh pumpkin pieces for them to eat. Or feed them some chunks as a treat.

Oh lord. Lucy LOVES pumpkin. She threw a FIT last year when there was that shortage. So much so that my husband and I had to drive almost 45 minutes away and pay $4 for a TINY can of organic pumpkin because she was PICKING UP her x-pen and slamming parts of it on the ground. I was afraid she’d break her teeth! We got back, gave her some pumpkin, and she went to sleep.

                    She’s very picky.
