That’s not actually what I said – for reasons of decency, I can’t repeat that.

My laptop won’t switch on – I’ve currently ‘borrowed’ my husband work one. It just will not go past the start up screen. This is a probelm for two reasons:

        1) I haven’t backed up since I finished my current piece of coursework. But, I did back up just before so I’ll only have lost about four hours work and I’ve got two weeks until the deadline.

        2) Every single picture of the rabbits I own is on that computer, and I’ve only got copies if I posted them on here.

Here’s hoping my husband can fix it when he gets in…

          Nervous breakdown alert…

If worse comes to worst, you can always take it to Best Buy and let the Geek Squad handle it. OR… if it’s just totally dead, they can remove the hard drive and recover everything that way.

          So don’t lose hope!!

Ahh nice to have a hubby who is a computer geek eh?   My hubby knows people and they did Pinky for free.

Hope it still has life left in it.

Sometimes you can try system restore, go back to an earlier point when it was fine, like yesterday, but it usually saves any new work you did in a document, so your work won’t be lost. Unless I am totally not understanding the problem, in which case I am the one who’s lost. *rolls eyes at self.*

RabbitPam – that sounds like what my husband said. Essentially, the rabbit pics are fine as they are long-term data, but the coursework has gone because I saved it and then did the system updates. The joys of vista.

Is it wrong to be relieved just as long as I have bunny pics?

I think that, considering us, it’s pretty par for the course : D

                        Bunny pics > coursework  hehe

One time my old laptop didn’t turn on, I waited and waited on the phone for tech support. The first thing he told me was to take out my battery and put it back in. It turned on. I felt like a moron. lol.

                          Nope!

Last week I copied just my photos/videos to my external hard drive. Apparently it’s not big enough to be able to save a full back up to. I’ve been having problems with my computer and got panicky at the thought of losing my pictures of Eddie. lol
