Hi Guys, I know Im offline most of the time but while on craigslist this article came up

        Free Bunny/Rabbit

I got intrigued, and a bit cautiously, opened the ad. What I saw next made me laugh and breath relief.

        And it said

Free Bunny Rabbit INFORMATION, that is!

Here are a few very important things you should know about RABBITS:
        1) Bunnies should NOT be given to a home where there are children (believe it or not, bunnies are NOT GOOD PETS FOR KIDS- they are tons of work and the PARENTS will be responsible for it all when kids lose interest) or where other pets live (this can frighten and literally be the death of a tiny bunny).
        2) They should also NEVER, under any circumstances, be kept OUTDOORS! This is disastrous and will cause great harm to a domesticated bunny. NO HUTCHES – EVER!
        3) Rabbits can be VERY AGGRESSIVE & TERRITORIAL if they are not fixed which is why this procedure should be done on all rabbits, regardless or the sex or if they will be the only pet in the household. PLEASE HAVE YOUR RABBIT SPAYED OR NEUTERED!
        4) Rabbits are statistically proven to be the MOST EXPENSIVE PET TO CARE FOR! They outweigh cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and all other pets in yearly care costs.
        5) RABBITS NEED 2-4 HOURS A DAY OF SUPERVISED PLAY TIME! If you don’t have enough free time, consider a dog or a cat, or if you are looking for a good child pet, then go with fish or a hamster.

If you have any rabbit related questions, are looking to FIND YOUR RABBIT A NEW HOME, or are looking to ADOPT A BUNNY, please contact me!

We are a local rabbit rescue and we have our best interest in the PROPER CARE OF YOUR RABBIT! If you have any questions about what to feed a bunny (plenty of timothy hay and fresh greens – NO PELLETS!), where to get them fixed (we can recommend good vets with rabbit experience), or any other questions, please email us – We really want to help! Please contact us before getting your new pet so we can make you an educated owner and your new pet will be happy and healthy! Remember to do plenty of research – you’ll be surprised at how much you find out! ADOPTION FIRST!

        How great is that?

          All I can say is…AMEN! ^_^
I wish I were clever enough to think of doing stuff like this. But I’d get all emotional and snippy and start yelling at people…lol.

Pellets are fine in small doses Monkey would kill me if I stopped giving them to her.

I think they overdid the caps a little bit. I kept getting the impression that they were quite angry while writing that message, and unfortunately, I think that can/will make people quit reading it in the first few sentences.

Also, I don’t understand the “NO PELLETS!” part. Yes, most “rabbit pellets” aren’t good for adult rabbits, and pellets can be harmful in large amounts, but timothy pellets in small amounts daily are a great addition to a healthy bunny’s diet.

I’m also not quite sure where they get their info on the whole “most expensive pets” thing. Surely, there’s some pet more expensive than rabbits. Seriously, I estimate that my 7 lb rabbit costs 40-60$ per month, max. How could that be the most expensive animal that’s ever commonly kept as a pet?

Regardless, it’s nice to see an ad like that among all the “15 EASTER BUNNIES FOR SALE! GREAT GIFT!” and “3 month old unfixed bunny, free to a good home” ads.
