I went to the vet today and the lady had told me that the ear redness could be from a potential allergy. I dust the living room quite frequently.. I just want to be on the safe side here.

I noticed that when I switched Chacha from her alfalfa based pellet to her adult based one, the ear scratching, head shaking began a month later Perhaps food IS the culprit

She is currently on Oxbow Timothy based pellets..

I researched online that like us hoominz, bunnies can get allergies from their foods.

My dad VOLUNTEERED to take me to the pet store and pay for a new bag of pellets for Chacha

Some suggestions, please? FYI, she is a 10 month old adult and I would prefer a pellet that does not have all of those crazy colors/fillers in it

Didn’t she have an ear infection? Keep in mind this could have been a coincidence in the timing but certainly, investigating her food is worth a try!

It’ll be good if you could get sample sizes of new pellets. Try Zupreem Nature’s Promise which is soy and wheat free but it does contain corn. Seems free of colours from what I can tell. Supreme Foods “Science Selective Mature Rabbit” (can’t find ingredient list) & American Pet Diner Timmy Rabbit Pellets might be worth a look.

You could try wean her off pellets altogether too.

You might want to try Kaytee Timothy Complete pellets if you can’t find any other kind. I’ve been using them for almost two years.

I second jersey with the idea that you should get sample sized bags.

I think quite a bit of people here use Zupreem, I’ve only seen it online though.

Is there any difference in the organic oxbow pellet ingredients? *goes off to look*

I also use Kaytee Timothy Complete pellets.

I picked up Kaytee Forti-diet Pro health for adult rabbits. We’ll see how it goes. I will be mixing very little in tomorrow along with her oxbow ones.

She was on a Kaytee pellet when she was a baby. It was alfalfa based. The one I got today is Timothy based. I hope that she takes it well and helps her allergy/infection.

Thanks everyone for your input! I will keep everyone updated
