Hey got a dr. to take my ins and do my knee surgery.  Finally.  Took 2 years.   This back dr group I go to hired a knee doctor.  Hurrah.

Now I am wondering how I am going to make it over the door hurdle for a week with an aching knee. Blah I will manage can’t have my babies caged up the whole time.

Yes my knee really really  hurts.  I walked a ways the other day to a store.  Then home agian.  I need to exercise b4 surgery for I won’t be able to for a bit after surgery.  Dont’ want this weight creeping back on.

My mum visited.  Hasn’t seen each other in 8 years.  Was great to have her.  Was sad to see her go

She gave me papers of where and how she to be buried. All paid for.  Also made clear she doens’t want to linger on life extending machines if she is a vegetable and such.  Argh.  But yes I listen and put the papers in a safe place.    Of course I dont’ like thinking of her passing but it is good to talk of these things so that things are done to her satisfaction.

Aside from that we had a wonderful visit.  We shopped and spend lots of $ on clothes sheets socks a soft snuggly fuzzy blanky and such.  Our backs hurt so bad lol  from all that shopping.  Wow.

That’s great BT about the knee surgery.

I’m glad you had a wonderful visit with your mom too. Those type of discussion are so hard – I hate talking to my mom about this too, it makes me uncomfortable and too sad.

That’s nice you had a good visit with your Mum. 8 years….wow!

How fortunate the medical group you’re are with has this new surgeon! That’s so much better then having to go with a completely different clinic.

BT, this has me VERY worried. Are you talking about a barrier gate in a doorway or something?

BT, my mother had knee surgery last year. In fact she had both knees completely replaced, one week apart. It is very important to do exercises for your knee both before and after surgery. Before surgery helps the muscles surrounding it to strengthen so that recovery will be easier, after helps to prevent scarring, because the scars can basically bind the muscle to the skin and really limit your movement. So even though it will be quite sore after surgery make sure you keep up with the exercises. If your doctor doesn’t give you instructions on ones to do then let me know and I can scan the ones my mother got for you.

Also vitamin E oil is fabulous for healing the scars! I’d been sceptical about it but we picked some up for my mother on the recommendation of the clinic and started rubbing it in to the scar and surrounding area about 2 weeks after the surgery and the scars are just amazing now.

Yes JG  the gate to the bedroom to keep my buns seperated and playing happily.    I will manage.

S&A  yep I gots to do physical therapy.   Quite soon after.   I guess walking some will be good for those muscles in the knee.

So many appmnts just for surgery goodness.     Go here do that go there do that.  At least all but 1 is in the same building.

Yes being with the same group of doctors I still have to fill out forms talk about being repetitive.  Page 2  address again page 3 uh yes already answered that on the first page.

Uh doesn’t my other Dr. have all this already.          Why yes we just need it again.
