I wanna hear it all!!  Any strange behaviors??!!!

Last week, I grabbed my dinner and bought it downstairs to eat while Chacha was running around. I see her flopped out and she smells the food and gets up, ZIG ZAGS to me, SNIFFS, and runs off, foot flicking

Tonight, I gave her her plate of veggies and she decides to take the cilantro off the plate, – ALL OF THE CILANTRO, she runs, leaving a trail of it behind her, and eats the single piece in her mouth! As she runs with a piece, SHE IS FOOT FLICKING

We’ve got tons of those rabbit toys you can get, and Major ignores almost all of them, apart from a nut nibbler, which looks like this:

He picks it up with his teeth, then puts it back down and bats it with his paws. This almost always sends it shooting underneath him, whereupon he mostly falls over it, and runs away in fright. Doesn’t stop him coming back and doing it again either!

          It’s very cute.

I think it’s funny how when Bindi is super excited for food (which is pretty much always) he makes little piggy grunts as he eats. Stormy does insane “couch zooms” which always makes me laugh. Olivia LOVES getting her nose stroked so whenever she sees your finger or hand, she will place her nose right under it until you start stroking it and she makes soft little honking and purring sounds. It’s so cute.

PJ runs around the living room when I get home and always does this hyper speed thing. Like, he’s fine and hanging out and suddenly he’s zooming around doing binkys. It cracks me up when I’m sitting on the couch and he just goes speeding around, just to stop for a moment, and start again

cotton does binkys sometimes and stops to see if we noticed.  lol

he also grabs a food and runs off with it flicking his feet.

ruby rattles the bars of her cage for treats.   now n then i will see her zip across the bedroom floor       a white puffball going zoom

they are so funny our bunnies are

pinky grunts when she eats too. i call her little miss piggy

she is obsessed with food. ANY food. if i hold my hand out with a piece of hay or greens for her she will bite into it and YOINK it dramatically from my grip. to me this is the equivalent of saying “GIVE IT”. lol

she will also throw anything i place on her top enclosure level down to the main level, then she will hop down and throw it right outside of her enclosure. her interior decorating style is quite minimalist apparently. once i put all of her toys (plastic baby keys, wood toys, paper tubes…) on her top level and watched her ‘evict’ each of them one by one until they were all back on the bedroom floor.

                  she is my ‘goofey girl’

hahaha funny stuff, bunnies are to silly.

                    * PitStop grabbed a huge peice of lettuce from me, and tried to speed off with it, but it was so big he stepped on it, tripping over himself and dropped it. I think he was embarassed b/c he didn’t stop he kept running and hid before going back to the lettuce :p

                    * PitStop also tries to get in the fridge for his carrots, you canot open it now without him being in the way begging.

                    * Ani zooms in the living room up and down the hallways, but she also jumps up and off the couches as she does it flying through the air.

                    * Ani also digs in the dirt and rolls in it…. she’s a mostly white bunny

                    * PitStop is a bunny who tosses the toys around, we play pass with wire balls and such. He also hates toy in his bed and will move them quickly if I put them there.

                    * I have a few bunnies who do ‘drunkin binkies’ and end up binki-ing into other bunnies or walls.

Oh! he really likes to chase raisins! lol I will throw a raisin across the floor and he runs after it skidding on the tile and gobbles it really fast! lol

Hugo loves to eat his hay out of empty tissue boxes and ziplock boxes and when he digs into the corner for the best pieces he always gets his head stuck! Not to the point he can’t get out but it funny to see a box on top of a bunnies head up in the air.
He will sometimes ignore me at night and just lay on the floor and the second I doze off he jumps on me. It’s a shock to have a bun that big wake you up.
Every time I load or unload the dishwasher he has to get inside it. He’s the same way about the kitchen cabinets.
I’ve actually seen him shove his nose in the seal of the fridge to try and open it when he begs for food.
He loves to jump on the couch, stretch up the back and sniff the fresh air blowing in the window. Cracks me up every time.

He’s such a silly boy when he’s not being lazy. =)

Today I switched Smudge and Monkey around in the pens, so Smudge is Monkey’s, Monkey is in Smudge’s. Smudge promptly started binkying all over the place. Moose was very concerned for awhile, keeping a close eye on his new next door neighbor… until he started binkying in response to Smudge’s binkies. Weirdo.

He is back to being very concerned right now

Don’t know if you’d call this strange, but Fiver ‘rings’ for me when he wants my attention by shaking his belled cat toy that he came with. (one of those waffled plastic balls with the bell inside it) I take it out at night so he’s not waking me up, and if I want some peace during the day sometimes I’ll ‘forget’ to put it in his hab with him after I clean. *whistles*
Mimzy does a weird grooming thing. Chews on his hind feet and lifts each one in his teeth, then drops it with a thump. He does this several times in a row. Nothing wrong with his feet, just something weird with him. 0_o
And Pip likes to wear her food while she eats it. Hay, greens, whatever…if she can nom it, it’s an accessory!

Lolli doesn’t do too much, but she does like to put her toys in either the food bowl or litterbox. Sometimes I wake up and find everything in the litter box. lol  She has her no no game where she will do something, get told no and do binkies as she hops off.  sigh  lol

Eddie was the one who was always up to no good. If he wasn’t done snuggling when I put him down, he’d thump at me and sit there till I picked him up again. Lolli and Eddie were zooming around one day and doing binkies and ran into each other. They’ve scared each other before too. One night Eddie was out in the living room and Lolli was under the bed. Well Lolli decides to hop through the living room, not seeing Eddie. Eddie moved and scared the poop out her to where she starts thumping like crazy and running for cover by tearing through the blinds, etc. Eddie got the poop scared out of him by her, so he starts thumping and races for cover. Meanwhile I’m cussing up a storm at them cause I’m trying to sleep. Then I have to get up to make sure they’re both ok. lol

Jersey did something amusing this week. We were napping on the floor in the evening when Rumball came in to the room. Normally she presents for grooming right away when he approaches. Instead, she did a full stretch, slid down onto her belly (superman pose), rolled into a flop, then she lifted her head just enough to groom his nose. It was like all in one fluid motion. She’s a multi tasker.

                                    Chacha was naughty tonight!!!

I was laying against the couch, talking to my boyfriend and she comes by me and starts grooming my bag, my plushie and then my hoodied arm. It didn’t bother me, until she decides to nibble on my arm!!! I went “EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK!” and in Chacha diva language that means “Give me loves, GIVE ME PETS RIGHT NOW OR ELSE SLAVE!!”

So, she got what she wanted.

I had my plushie on the ground as I mentioned. The plush is of a blue peeps bunny. It smells like me, so she WILL groom it occasionally. But tonight, she decides that it is funny to roll it under her with her front paws and hop backwards a few times!! I laughed so hard when she did this!! It was hysterical!!

I finally sat up and leaned down a little toward her, and she decides to nibble on my hoodie strings It was funny watching her move her head to try to bite the strings!!!

Jack has such strange drinking habits– He is a huge “slurper” — very noisy!. He doesn’t drink much throughout the day, but instead he’lll drink a whole bowl of water in one sitting and so I think what he does is he sucks up water out of his water dish, swallowing part of it, but the rest I think he stores his cheeks briefly and then slurps it from his cheeks. I have sat and watched him several times to figure out his slurping technique. Very difficult to explain but it is so loud that I can hear it two rooms away. He drinks water late at night and early in the morning, so it’s not so easy to catch on camera, but I should at least try to catch the audio one day.

The other strange behavior Jack does is he thumps before he heads up to the second level (window seat of his hidey-house) That is my fault– I think I started that because awhile back when he was being really annoying to Vivian, I didn’t want him to go up and bug her/hump her and so I would say “No, Jack” (which he understands) when he would approach the ramp. He’d thump at me for telling him No. Now that he’s not soooo annoying, he can go up on the second level whenever he wants, but he still feels the need to stop right before the ramp, thump, and then go up. So funny—poor Jack!

HAHAHA!  That’s funny.  Jack loves hay garb too. It always manages to get on top his head while he’s munching down.

When I give them their dessert at nite b4 bed  Ruby throws the bowl around.  I put it  in a little bowl and when she is done eating from it she throws it around til I take it out.

I used a small small plate once and when finished eating off it she took it and threw it through the bars of her cage and when it hit the floor it broke  lo.

Cotton figured out where his raisins are for nitey nite dessert.  I had been giving 2 blueberries but he wanted raising.  He would run to his cage door stop and refuse to go in and run back under the table.

So last nite at 10:30 bed time he jumped and bounced off the middle of Ruby’s cage trying to get to the raisins.  Then he sat on the floor staring up at the top of her cage.   Ruby was looking at him like what is Cottons problem.

Took me  a while to figure out what he was after.  Then I got 2 raisins and put them in his house he jumped right in. No more going to bed troubles.

HE wouldn’t go into his house til he had raisins instead of anything else.   lol.

Thats one bun knows what he wants for going to bed dessert.

My rabbit Mr. Bunny has all kinds of silly habits. If I fall asleep on the bunny room floor, he’ll come up and lick my face until I wake up. As soon as he sees me open my eyes, if I don’t get up and either pet him or feed him a treat, he’ll hop over and nip me on the chest.
He’s also crazy about pellets and treats, so any time he sees a human by the food box, he runs over and starts doing figure-8’s around their feet.

I haven’t had my other rabbit, Ms. Rabbit, long enough to see her full personality. One funny thing that she does, is that if I put a jingly ball next to her mouth, she grabs it, shakes it around, and then flings it. That’s probably normal for bunnies to do, but after spending almost 2 years with a bunny who doesn’t play with toys (Mr. Bunny), it’s silly to watch!

I think Frankie’s weirdest thing is the stuff he tries to eat.

He has an appetite for paper products and actually EATS them rather than just shredding or ripping. He’s literally eaten entire pieces of paper. And yes, he gets tons of unlimited hay every day, so I really don’t think he’s looking for more fiber… I think he’s just a weirdo.

And anyone who’s been on this forum before knows he will try to eat ANYTHING that could possibly be tasty. I make a lot of effort to keep anything scented away from him and never let anyone leave a purse or backpack where he can get to it. He’s sampled everything from candles to Tums to chewing gum and God knows what else. I’m super lucky he was blessed with a stomach of steel. He’s so freaking weird.

Just the other day, I caught him trying to eat a little rubber prop cockroach that I took from a Halloween store that I’m working at. He got up on the coffee table and I noticed him trying to chew something in his mouth… almost like he was chewing gum or something, just gnawing away. I look closely and see the little rubber roach legs poking out of his mouth and freak out. I tried to get it from him and he jumped down and i had to chase him all the way around the house to yank it out of his mouth. I think it was missing a leg, so I really hope he didn’t eat it.

Speak of the devil, the little furry monster just zoomed across the room out of nowhere.

Baxter eats paper too. lol I just started letting him free roam my kitchen since he is getting too big for any pen. Now when I open the fridge he is right there by my feet to see what’s in there. He know where I keep his veggies. lol I was cooking tacos tonight so I had lettuce out for it and he wouldn’t leave my feet the whole time I made them. He followed me around begging me until I gave him his supper. He also tries to squeeze his fat butt into spaces only to realize that only his head and front legs fit. It is hilarious to watch him try to back out. lol

ok so I am working with Jenny on a new trick..this one is compliacted and will require slowly teacfhing her lower level stuff first, anyway right now I am working on teach her to stand on her hind legs on command, without a lure, ok so I am working on Jenny and Rusty(dog) was watching me, finally he was like “I want cheerio’s too!!” and sits beside Jenny, he watched me at first lure Jenny into a stand and give her a treat, Rusty wanted one too so then HE stood up on his hind legs..so I gave him a treat, Jenny turned, looked at Rusty, looked at me and stood up on her hind legs without a lure..so I gave her a treat..Rusty and Jenny then kept playing a reapeting game..it was pretty funny, because Rusty desided to just sit up and I gave him a treat….Jenny, watching followed…by sitting on her haunches instead of stretching out lol

                                                        Hehehe funny thread!

I re-arranged the furniture and the bunny pen over the weekend, and apparently Leroy and Jeannie like it. It’s been binkies galore, especially tonight! Jeannie was in the litter box, and Leroy was bouncing all over the place, and then binkied into the litter box and landed on top of Jeannie! She just sat there, looking stunned, like “what just happened!?”

Leroy is shedding like CRAZY and he’s cranky and snippy at me and Jeannie. Leroy has been chasing Jeannie in circles if she looks at him wrong. I had to break up a tiff tonight… after one chase session, Jeanie actually tried to climb out of the pen! Poor girl. I’ve been plucking and brushing Leroy, so hopefully his shed will be over soon. It’s been two weeks!

I was TRYING to do laundry and every time I would pick up clothes Baxter stood up stiffed it. Then, when I went to fold the clothes from the dryer I sat down on the floor because he was begging for my undivided attention. I was pulling them from the dryer and folding them while I was sitting on the floor. Baxter would stand up and stick his head in the dryer and move the clothes around and then hop on my lap and sniff what I was folding. lol He would hop over to the basket and move them around once I put them there. It was almost like he felt he had to approve every article of clothing. lol He is so much fun!

Hmmmm!  That is interesting.  I thought Jack was the only one that did this.  Totally wondering what’s going on now.

She often thumps to let me know she’s going to have a drink, a thump to let me know she’s jumping into her litter box, a thump before she flops over to nap, a thump when she binkies, a thump when it is dinner time, a thump when she is done… especially a thump if i take too long with her raisin. She just seems to enjoy thumping.

And she would nudge me, hop around the coffee table, *nudge *nudge, around the coffee table… She kept doing this until I lay down on the floor and gave her some attention. It ALWAYS has to be about the Princess!!! But when I want to give her cuddles she wants none of it! She’s like a cat…it has to be her idea!

He is very much like having another toddler around though…he get’s into everything! That’s the only noise he makes. He has such big and strong back legs. I wonder if he will ever discover that he could make a loud thump with them.
