  He’s also a gelding. Taylor is one of the horses I excersice, but I am in love with him LOL, Yes the Hubby knows, but PitStop doesn’t so we best keep that Hush-Hush.

  I used to ride hunter/jumper… lol… So this whole cow horse thing is new to me. I am actually interested in reining and penning/cutting. Taylor is a roping horse, Header. When i first saw him I thought nothing of him (too much chrome) but after i rode him I was in love, he fits me so well.
  
  I stopped riding over 5 years ago, I’ve just got back into it. Working with the horses is a natural anti-depressant for me. I’m not ready to own one myself at this time, I cannot commit to a horse full time the way things are right now. I am eager to learn the whole ‘western’ style of riding, when I was growing up it wasn’t cool to ride western, so other then being able to sit in the saddle, I never got to learn the style.

  I grew up riding hunter/jumper too, so I was curious when I saw the western saddle 🙂 Good luck learning to ride western! You’re lucky to be able to fine horses to exercise – I wish someone would just let me ride their lovely horses 😉

  I’ve ridden and trained for people when i was younger, i was a bit nervous after such a long break to get back into it. I placed an ad on Craigslist just saying I was an experianced adult horse person who had a 5 year break and is looking for some horse time if anyone was interested in having me out to exersise for them a couple time a week. I got seven replies back in the first week!
  I picked this Lady first because she had Quarter horses and not Arabs LOL… about 3 of the others had Arabs, another I became friends with, she breeds paints (My FAVORITE!) and I go and play with her animals on the hobby farm every once and a while, she has mini’s, goats, chickens etc.

  Wow, that’s a great idea! I’m impressed that you got so many replies so quickly. I would love to try something like that, but I really don’t have the time – someday I hope to get a partial lease or something.
  
  And I don’t blame you on the arabs. lol The last thing you need when getting back into it is some nutty horses! Not that they’re all nutty … but, still. Haha
