  I’ve been hearing about this on the radio. One poor woman had been talking about not being able to get her pets out before the evacuations and then said when they asked about their house it was one of the ones that was gone. So, naturally, this is worriseome.
  
  Could our Colorado membes check in here? I hope you are all safe and sound and your furbabies too!

  Well, we’re okay, and Sagecat’s okay. My husband talked to someone who lived in the area who was trying to get away from the fires because of his asthma. That’s when I heard about it.

  Good to hear that you guys are okay! Yeah, I was hearing them talk about how the fire doubled in size in one day and that the inversion layer was keeping all the smoke too low to the ground to send up the water planes.
  *shudders* BTDT. I think I still have stuff boxed up from 2004 when the bad fires went through here. We couldn’t see our backyard from the house the smoke was so thick.

  We’re just heading into the warmer seasons here and I dread bushfires. Especially after the black saturday bushfires.

  I live near there but not close enough to be in danger. That would be such a tough spot to know you have to leave and that you could not grab your pets.

  I’m probably about 100 miles from the fires, so obviously, I’m doing fine. I hope no bunnies are having trouble with the fires! I know some people who live in Boulder, but fortunately, none of them had to be evacuated (as far as I know, at least).
  
  If my bunny had to stay in my evacuated house, I’d be staying home too.
