If a nail is curled do i clip off the entire curled end?  Will this not hit the quick?  I’m sure this is a silly question!

You may not hit the quick – what you should do is place the clipper where you want to clip and just gently apply some pressure to the nail, but don’t cut, if the rabbit reacts then you are too close to the quick. You should do this with all the nails.

This is my first time clipping with actual clippers instead of the Peticure device. I’m having trouble working that thing without my friend to hold the bunnies down.

Their nails are getting long and a little is poking out of the fur—Can i just clip that whole part too?

I will try both of your suggestions~~ Thanks! Building my confidence to do it….

This is what I do with Zeus.  I’m really not very good at spotting the quick, even though all his nails are light colored.  So I just trim off a little tiny bit at a time.  That means nail trims are more frequent, I usually try and do a bit of a trim every 2 weeks or so, but Zeus doesn’t care about trims so it’s no biggie.  Also this way I ensure nail trimming STAYS a “no biggie”, by making sure I don’t hit the quick.
