I know it looks mean but I have to put a chain over her nose when we go out because she can’t eat fresh grass and it’s the only way to keep her from going for it. It’s just to give me a bit more control.

She just had a bath that’s why she’s all shiney.

She likes to help get my man in shape

I always like your black and white photographs, LPT. How did you get her coat so shiny?

                    Pretty Ponies!

LittlePuffyTail what breed is your little girl? She’s a cutie.
Mocha200, Prince has a great face, i love his stripe.

I ride for a local trainer a couple days a week. I ride a few of her horses, including her sons roping horses. This guy is Taylor, a registered paint who I love, he’s a little to chromey for me, but he moves like a dream.

This is Talyor “heading” at a Team Roping Championship.

And this is their other horse Belle, she’ s a ‘mareish’ mare, but an incredible horse. I’m really growing attached to her, she listens well and there isn’t anything this horse can’t do.

I have a laugh b/c I actually don’t really know how to ride western, I was a hunter/Jumper growing up.  I am looking to taking reining lessons in the fall. I tell my friends I’m a cowboy in training … well next to not being a boy.

                      Winnie is a Morgan.

Petzy- I use a special shampoo for dark horses. It stains my hands blue but it makes her look pretty!

Andi- I love chrome! Taylor is gorgeous. Paints are one of my fave breeds. I ride English but am moving to a new barn next month where they give reining lessons and I would love to give it a go! I have a reining friend who says I should try reining with Winnie from watching her move out in the pasture.

I was going to say Morgan! My frist horse was a 25 yr old Morgan mare named Willow.

Paints are my favorite as well, though taylor doesn’t have any spots, he just has a lot of white (face & legs). I love Bay paints with white socks, I have a friend who breeds paints he new Staiilion is being delivered this week, i cannot wait to meet him.
I have found holding the reins in one hand hurt my arm after a while, lol. I still ride mostly with both hands and some contact, it’s more comfortable for me but I am practicing with the one arm thing to build up my strength in that arm. I felt really uncomfortable in the western saddle at first, it felt so bulky, but i am so used to it now.

When I ride Western, which I haven’t for years, I feel like I’m just sitting on a big chair. No support at all. I like my English saddle. Feel like my butt is safe and secure. I want to get western tack though so I can practice.

I used to ride an endurance mare in a treeless western saddle, it was very comfy, great contact. But got a big warm on the butt since ur pretty much riding bareback almost.
I have to sell my dressage saddle b/c it’s 16″ and much to small for me. Which sucks b/c it has been my favorite saddle, sooo comfy. I’m just not sure what I want to replace it with. I had always thought I wanted to go back to a hornless Assie saddle, but now I’m not to sure.

I post in a western saddle LOL… but I find a lot of people do.
