After a slight discoloration in Sammykins’ pee last week, I decided it was a good idea to just have the wellness check up my vet reminded me about in a post card. Naturally, since her appointment is 11AM tomorrow, she has been in perfect shape all week. But I think it will be a good idea just the same, if only to hand some a bag of fresh cecals. Fun. Wish her luck and I’ll let you know what our favorite Doc says tomorrow.

We get ready to leave in an hour. She’s suspicious. She went back into her house for breakfast and didn’t eat her treat (until now) for about 10 minutes.
I have to wipe the dust off her carrier, but she saw it. Appt. at 11, which means I will go into her house with the carrier for the wrestling match at 10:15 to get her in it. I am bringing pix of the new house to the vet to show her, in case the crumpled rugs are giving her any problems the vet detects. Doubtful. Maybe I just want to show off, but I had donated her old cage to this vet, or a shelter they work with.

Am putting on suit of armor now….

                  we’re back. She’s great!
The vet said she’d weighed exactly the same as our last visit – to the ounce, which she’d never seen before.
I brought pix of the new habitat in case anything was in need of changing for health reasons. Nope, it’s fine.
Her back teeth are a wee bit off, but not a problem at all and we don’t expect a problem even in a few years.
She had a little cut around her eye that I have no idea how or when it happened, but it’s healed over and is like an old scar, not bothering her, so it’s a mystery but not a problem.
Got her nails trimmed and she behaved like a lady.
I gave her some nanners when we got home and let her go under my bed as long as she liked because she was a very good girl today. (Once I caught her.)
I had given my vet my old cage, which they are using for a little bunny they are caring for at their office who looks just like Sammy only brown instead of grey spots. He was very comfy in it, and had gotten off a plane from Chicago to stay with them, so they call him O’Hare. Great bunny name.
Not cheap, but a relief to have good news. Cecals will be tested as well.

Glad all was well with Sammy at the vet’s.
