Well hello all,

lets see, I have 30 hours of work this week when usually she was only giving me like 18 a week. A lot of colleges went into class already and I still have a few weeks. So yaaaay monnneeey

Went to Daiso today Britt~~ got some baskets and a lot of garden stuff for my mom, wire birds to stick in potted plants, ceramic doodads to place around, a rabbit white out correction tape thing, a rabbit cell phone holder, a rabbit note book, ….then next door to daiso is a fish market and they have very nice vegies that are half as much as safeway so i stocked up on some cilantro and lettuce. Then I went home to share the wealth. I made the mother happy by buying her lots of yard stuff so life is good. Hehe.

I joined a new community band and i had my first rehearsal last night. The horn players are way way older than me and made me feel well at home. I will learn a lot from them, I am VERY excited to play with them. One of them is from Australia! The horn section is def the best in the band, we have all the ringers! bwahhaa!!

Bagheera was neutered last week and is doing very well, he couldn’t wait to get home to be back with Lion. I bought a new fancy catcarrier that has an opening at the top to make it easier to take buns out of. It’s pretty nice! They are really loving the botonical and alfalfa hay from Oxbow. i bought it as a treat for this week/get baggy eatting. He’s doing just fine!

oh lets see, i get to start in another new highschool, because we moved after grade 9. bye bye everyone i met and adored last year. hello everyone in grade 10 who already know everyone. yay.
My bithday is coming up the 25th , somewhat excited for that. me and mommy are planning on going horsey back ridsing you know because the first 5 times we planned to do that for my birthday we actually went right?
Umm my older sister is signed up for rehab. they have an opening around the end of september thats a VERY good thing.. if she actually goes
I’ll FINALLY be old enough to get a job. (i was legal age as of last year but nobody would hire me untill i was a year older)
so over-all it will be a so-so month for me

Good luck Brittany!  Hopefully you’ll get something!  I’ll be paying off college loans until I’m around 30.  I start my second class tomorrow…Real Estate Law   Some of this stuff just doesn’t seem like you really need to know it, just for the test though.  I just hope I can pass the test when I do take and that this is my true calling.   I’ve been really anxious lately because we’ve been discussing baby stuff and we’re thinking about having one soon   It’s exciting yet scary at the same time.  And all this when I just figured out what I want to do as a career…I have the WORST timing!  I have a dr. appt. in Oct. so I have to try not to think about it too much until then.  I just never though I would start thinking about that because I wasn’t raised around kids and to me kids is like ew you’re germy, get away  And now suddenly I want one..who knew!  Ok I’ll stop venting, I could go on forever about that stuff.  Just feels like I don’t have to many people to talk to about it.

skibunny, I guess it changes as people get older I don’t want kids for a long time.. well, I’m just in that ‘kids are annoying’ stage. I only get annoyed when their parents let them do what they want!! Its horrible!!

I am going to teach my kids that animals are not just animals, but companions and family too

Ah, well, my school isn’t that much.. about 5 grand. But a little more with books. My friend went to the same school and her mom makes more than my dad, but got covered for her entire education, plus extra $ for scrubs, books, and even bus money!

Oh yeah I’m the same way, I hate when people let their kids do whatever they want.  My mom says it’s different when you have your own kid.  So maybe I only want my own kid and don’t like anyone else’s haha!  I know how I’m going to raise them and it won’t be running all around.  I’m a little worried how the rabbits would react or what if the baby’s allergic to them   I’d never give them up, they’re my babies.  But we’ll figure it out when we cross that bridge.

Oh that’s not bad at all.  I went to ITT and it was around $30,000!    Such a disappointment of a school, I tell you.  Oh well, live and learn I guess.  I think it was because it was a private school though.

mir, why don’t you take one of those babysitting courses for teenagers (like the kind the Red Cross offers) and advertise that you do babysitting. The course would set you apart from others. With the money you can have your two rabbits spayed sooner.

It is different when you have your own children.

I work in retail, and this customer came in with her child in a stroller. She told me that he wanted out of his stroller, he did, fell and hit his head on a display bottom and his head started bleeding!! She told me she wasn’t gonna take her son to the hospital!! Um, going into the medical field, I know that.. if a child or anybody hits their head REALLY hard – it is a concussion and needs to be seen by a doctor!!  It angers me that parents just can’t watch their children! I know stuff happens, but there are parents that come into my job and just expect ME to baby sit!! I won’t! If they pay me, sure, but seriously? HISSS!!!!

I am selfish. Lol. My parents had my brother when they were 23 years old. My mom had me when she was 30. I want to be in my 30’s. If it happens anymore before that, it happens! LOL! I prefer having a baby bunny (shes always a baby to me, despite her being 1 years old soon!) as a child, she doesn’t cry ..

Animal allergies run on my boyfriend’s side of the family. His dad has an allergic reaction to all animals, but he LOVES animals. Its a major bummer to him. John’s half sister (same dad) didn’t have animal allergies until she got into her later 20’s. BUT, he isn’t as bad as her dads. She has 2 dogs. She deals with it. My boyfriend is actually quite fine with bunnies. He only sneezes when he sees sheep (the state fair).

Ah, I just found the 2006-2008 issues of the Annual Rabbit Magazines on Ebay! I got it all from the same seller, so I’M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO GET IT IN THE MAIL I want to look up new toy ideas I am going to let Monkeybun read it when I visit her in October

There’s some kids I don’t mind, if they’re quiet and the parents look after them. Gosh I can’t believe that about the kid falling down! Some people should not procreate! My parents were around my age when they had me (I’m the oldest at 25) and waited 5 years to have my brother. I wish we could wait until we’re financially stable LOL yeah like that will ever happen! My parents still have my crib, some clothes, lots of blankets and lots of toys. I think we’ll be frugal (sp?) parents. My mom just started developing allergies, I don’t know why now though. She can be around my rabbits for a little while but after awhile her throat starts to close up and she can’t be around them. Hopefully I’ll never get that.

My big bummer about September is watching my son return to college. For one thing, I start shoveling more money out the door because he always needs more, but for another it’s just so odd without him here. After 20 + years of having children, I can say this is the hard part, seeing them grow up and be off on their own….sort of…lol.
I was certain I’d never have children or get married. Then a year after my hub and I got married, I found out I was pregnant and I flipped out! But within a few months the hormones had hit and I was all warm and fuzzy with it. It made some amazing changes in my life.
We have always been helicopter parents. We hover too much. Still do. It’s really tough to learn to let go at the right times and I still can’t manage to do that right.

Mostly though, I’m seeing fall hit with a vengeance and that means first snow is not far off. WAAAHHH!!! Summer was too short!! 0_o;

Congrats on the successful ‘berry picking’ for Baggy there, Lin. ^_^ And I don’t think we see anywhere near enough pix of Lion…. *pokepokepoke*

I’ve taken Baby Sitting courses, Home Alone, First Aid, and im certified in: CPR and AED,
We just moved into this area and on this side of the street its a nice neihborhood, but on the other side of the street  lots of “creepers”

so my mom doesn’t let my post flyers or adds or anything, especially because theres only 2 young kids in this area and their our next door neihboor and 2 doors down and my  younger sisters best friends but they go to daycare

i baby sit a 10 month old baby, the mom used to baby sit me when i was little (she was my older sisters best friend when they were younger.. see how that works? )   but for as ofer as a babysit for her i end up owing my mom the moneesy anyways from stuff she’s bought the buns or whatever.

and besides only 22 more days untill the places around my area will hire me so. untill then  im sure i’ll live

ive taken : 2 babysitting courses, Home alone, first aid and a few other not really important ones,
i’m certified in CPR and AED

but the area we live in doesnt have many younger kids but alot of old men if you know what i mean. so flyers and such are out of the question.

i do some odd babysitting jobs. for example i baby sit a 10 month old baby who’s mom is an old friend of my older sisters. she actually used to babysit me alot when i was little.. funny how that works.

but whenever i do babysit for her i often owe my mom money for one thing or another so.. i dont often get money for myself

but only 22 more days (AND COUNTING!) untill the places around my area will hire me…  so i’m sure i’ll find someway to surive

I’m sick well.. so is my gym buddy. It must be something from the gym. But the bikes that we use to cycle are always cleaned, and after each session, bikes need to be cleaned off with sanitizer.

Oh well.. not gong to the gym tomorrow. Going to take some nyquil soon and zonk. My dad is off tomorrow, so we are going to run some errands in the afternoon.

My friend in Japan that used to live in Washington is going to send me some Usagi Magazines. Yes, that is Bunny . I think bunny magazines are monthly there, and there is also a 2011 bunny calendar, which has a bunny photo for each day of the month. GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

found out a breeder friend of ours is having to sell most of his animals do to health(his own), we want to get some of the steppe lemmings for sure..at first we thought 1 female, so we could just keep our own going, but they mulitply FAST and we are not interested in getting into steppe lemming breeding lol. but he also has rabbits too he needs to find homes for, one of the breeds he has is Dwarf Hotot’s…which I have been drooling over for years and I am totally considering making him an offer on one! lol

It’ll be the first time I’ve been away from him for over 24 hours in over a year…which means I’m slightly anxious about it all too. He’ll probably be fine, though – they’re the best bunny shelter in the state – and he’ll be coming home with a bunny-wife.

Today I visited my parents for Fathers Day.  It was wet and rainy but very nice and cosy at their place. Their garden is growing crazy good.  I picked a bag of bunny food and my 2 are tucking into it with relish tonight!  It’s such a good feeling offering such fresh, fresh greens for them. I really need to get onto growing my own stuff!

Yes… I do have a dwarf hotot, though she doesn’t exactly meet breed standards… she’s got black on her ears and she looks like she put her eyeliner on while she was still half asleep….   But I love her anyway!

 

On an unrelated note… I entered Nick in a photo contest held by a small custom tag making company and he won!!!!  They make custom tags out of airplane quality aluminum, so they’re really durable.  So here are a couple pictures of Nick wearing his new tag.  And if you can’t read it, the tag says “I <3 Bunny Poo" (The other side has his name and my phone number).  Nick LOVES to scarf down and poops that don't quite make it to the bunnies' litter boxes.  Hehe.  Gross.  But it means I have fewer poops to pick up!

 

And Nick has learned a new trick!!! He can walk backwards on his hind legs (as long as you have a treat for him!) … we’re working on walking forward.  He also sits on his haunches in a “beg” position.

Oh! I meant to say… jennyrabbit… that’s very exciting that you might be getting a dwarf hotot! Just be sure to ask the guy if the bunnies are bonded… if they’re all bonded, especially if they’re bonded in pairs, I wouldn’t recommend splitting them up. So if that’s the case…. just get them all!!!

Lol, I was just saying… if you wanted more…   Anyway, what I was getting at was that it’s really not a good idea to split up bunnies that have bonded.  You probably already know this, but typically when bunnies bond, they bond for life.  If this guy is just selling them as a group to sell them so he has fewer rabbits, then it’s different.  Good luck and let us know what comes of it!!!

I am not sure actually, we asked him anyway, if they cant be split thats fine, I am not activy looking for another rabbit, its just an opurtunity kind of thing. as far as I know these are not house pets he has a seperate breeding facility, they are show and breeding animals, so I “think” its just a group of 4 to cut back his numbers, but I dunno lol

OMG Jenny was driving me NUTS last night, I discovered that she has taken to ripping drywall again, in behind some of the gerbil cages, so I went and blocked ALL her access to drywall..and I set up lots of other things for her to do, including tying the birds shredders to the blockaids so that she still had something to shred. well she checked it all out and huffed and puffed, and in her pen last night she would not stop stamping the ground..seriously 45 minuts straight she was protesting..now her stamping I can ignore…what I could NOT ignore was 125lbs of noise phobic dogs, clambering over me and eachother in blind panic everytime she stamped the ground! I ended up having to stick her in her carrier(with her water bottle and hay) and sticking the carrier in another room for the night. she did NOT look pleased with me when I opened her carrier this morning to free her for the day lol but really, I ignored it till almost midnight and I had to be up for work at 5 this morning!

We went to the fair yesterday.  Each year since I got my 3 I’ve liked it less.  They had one section of rabbits and there were a few they really needed some medical care.  It was sad.  We ate some food and went to this building called Old McDonald’s Farm with baby animals.  I’ve only been in it maybe once or twice before but I don’t remember them ever doing this…  They had 3 cages, one had a bunch of rabbits that were “relaxing” and the other two had a few rabbits in it that let people open them up and pick them up and pet them!!    I was trying to see them and there were so many kids and parents wanting a picture of their kid holding the “cute little bunny” that looked terrified.  The fair goes on for 6 days and they’ve been rotating them every so often and all being handled and picked up.  There was no one supervising.  One kid was holding a gray angora rabbit and it kicked and he almost dropped it.  The mother quickly took the rabbit and put it back in the cage.  Another family had their 3 or so year old daughter trying to get her to hold the bunny but her father and the other was taking a picture.  Needless to say everyone was pushing in front of me since I didn’t have a child and I got pissed right away about the whole situation.    Excuse my language but why the hell would anyone allow this?!  On the other side you had baby ducks you could hold.  I wanted out of there because I caused a scene, so we left pretty pissed.  It’s probably a good idea that I didn’t hold any of them or get too close to them because I might have walked off with one or so.  They just let anyone pick them up, some didn’t even put the top of the cage down and they could have jumped up.  Ugh just makes me mad thinking about it.  Why do I even visit the rabbits at the fair, it makes me mad every time.

jeeze, all the events that have animall areas around here are all the same place, a petting farm, that travels around, and everything is 100% supervised, you want to handle the animals? you can stand in line and when you get the the front you can go along the table and handle the critters, which will be passed to you by an attendent and you are hovered over while being explained proper handling and care lol its totally family run and operated. they use our gerbils so I have lots of experience with them :p

Leia our rat terrier (aka petzys mongoose destroyer) has been very sick. I walked upstairs 2 days ago and she was sitting on the back of the couch just shivering. She has very little hair but it has been 90 so I freaked out right away. Her ears were pinned back and I knew something was wrong. We took her to the vet right away, and the dr said her throat was very swollen, almost shut, and her nasal way was very inflamed. She has been to the vet 3 times already before on emergency and she is only 1 year old now!! She insists on killing Bee’s and she is VERY allerigic! I personally think she ATE a bee but she’s on a few meds right now, it’s all been very scary. We love her so much she is just so cute and would rip a hole in our family if she left. She really needs to STOP playing with Bee’s!!! And not my bunny Bee!! roar!!!

Have a look at some of the rabbitry sites. One I saw had a young, pure bred dwarf hotot with papers for $30. Some would charge upward of that.

There’s a wild bunny that made a scrape next to our driveway. I was going to get a picture of it the other day because it was in the ground so much that you could just see it’s eyes and ears. It looked like it was waiting to attack. It’s back in the same spot today…might be a nest somewhere in our front yard. Man these rabbits really like our yard! We’re pretty sure there’s a nest in our overgrown garden again. A stray cat was in our yard and our windows were open we seen the cat by the garden and then heard squeaking sounds and my husband rushed out and scared it off. We couldn’t find the nest but it might be more towards the middle. We didn’t want to disturb them and have the cat figure out where they’re at. GRRrrrr darn cat! I hope they’re ok though.

I hope Leia’s ok! Animals never learn do they? Gracie will eat a ton of endive and she knows she’ll go to the bathroom everywhere but still does it. (we no longer give her endive for that reason). Oh and I want to add that I’m never get fruits from Walmart, they go bad so quick! I got 2 bananas and I ended up putting 1/2 in the freezer for Sandy, but the other one went bad in 3 days! It was hardly brown too, it was all squishy and I think it liquefied in the bag. They’re lettuce isn’t any good there either, it’s all dirty. I’ll pay the extra money to get good lettuce from our local grocery.

So I discovered today that my Smudge is NOT in fact a netherland dwarf. She’s a polish! I was watching her and Monkey, and they are totally different shapes. So I went researching… and she’s a Polish. Which is funny, because when we first went looking for a bunny, a polish is what we had wanted!

Thanks guys Leia is doing much better. They vets have her on Prednisone and something else. They didn’t find anything in the xrays. She’s feeling much better, but right after her meds she’s a bit sleepy. But we’re happy she is better…don’t know what happened to her though.

I will never understand stupid people lol I got a call today from a lady I have been helping with her reactive dog, she was really upset because the dog bit someone last night(didnt break skin), I asked her to describe the circumstances of the bite, oh he was on the front porch with us and a guy rode by on his bike and he got “the look” ran out and bit him.  and I am listening to her thinking there is so many things wronge with that scenero, and the entire incident is YOUR fault!  you KNOW you have a reactive dog, so why on earth is he OFF LEASH on your front porch!  second of all you recignized his posture and knew what he was going to do before he did it..so why the heck didnt you stop him!  the ENTIRE incident could have been avoided with a little common sense!

I was driving home from work today and I drive by the dog park. The speed starts at 35 on that street then goes down to 25 by the dogpark, but everyone usually speeds. I don’t though. I know dogs have been hit that have gotten away from their owners. Anyway, This guy is tailgating me like mad, pissed off that I am actually going to speed limit and he’s swerving back and forth behind me. I see him and just laugh at his stupid self. I take it down to 25 and OH WOW LOOK AT THAT A DOG RUNS ACROSS THE STREET!!! The owner is just standing on the lawn with it’s leash..off ?? What the hell? He isn’t even screaming or flailing. Just standing there as his dog crosses in front of 3 cars. Thank god I had slowed them all down 25. I hit the brakes and missed the dog. …my heart and stomach felt like they were ripped out of my chest. I thought I had a heartattack or something. I think I cared more than the owner. He was just standing there…like he didn’t even care.

well then…seems we are getting several gerbils back lol, a pair of gerbils that we sold is at the shelter…they were seized. not as bad as it sounds though, the lady contacted us and explained what happened, and she is a friend of ours. we are going to the shelter as soon as it opens today to go get them.

Yesterday, I got a pair of suede flat shoes that I ordered online. I took the tissue paper out of the shoes, along with the box, and threw it on the floor. It was a bunny chew paradise for Chacha NOM NOM NOMS… She of course, tried to chew my shoes. I stood up and she circled me.. Oh me oh my.

I said to her “Are you sure your spayed?”

Next week Friday, I’ll be my friend’s “Total Look Model.” She is in her final months of beauty school and this is actually her school final before she graduates in November. Since I need a haircut, she is gonna do it. Also, along with color and make up. She has to do all 3. I’m so excited! I am going to try red. Like a dark red, since my hair is already pretty dark.

thats Sputnik that you can see in the pic, he was sold with his dad Farley quite some time ago now. the lady we sold them too was pretty embaressed about the whole thing, but wanted us to know that they were there and what happened, as we do back everything we breed 100% , we will always take them back at any time. the boys are back now anyways, we explained to the shelter that we are the orignal breeders, and they were sooo happy that we came to get them lol

Well, my dad and I went to visit the apartment we are going to move into and spoke to one of the land lords. We are getting the cheaper one – the unrenovated one. It is okay with me. It is the same layout. I can’t wait to go shopping at Ikea and my dad wants to take me to the casino up north. I’ve never been to that one, lol. I don’t gamble a lot. Its fun to go to once in a while.

Yea, apparently it was “only” steam , the tube from the radiator fell off and water was going all over? I don’t know…steam…smoke….fire. All the same too me. Not good is what it was rofl. My eyes were like O_O and I was like what if this car explodes and im burned for life and walk around without a layer of skin on …WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF MY BUNNIES!!!?!?!?!

I went to Las Vegas and couldn’t get over the smoke in Casinos ~ we are def spoiled here in California. I couldn’t stay in them for more than 15min without having to step outside.

I lay with my arm off the bed and tap on the carpet and out runs Indy in a frantic! It’s head rub time. Then….out comes Bee in a rush to make sure she doesn’t miss out. Well, the house inspectio was done and .. the family wants to buy the house for .. .. .. $14,000 dollars LESS than what they BIDDED FOR  WHAT THE?!??!!

 

The house is 25 years old and needs cosmetic work done.. it makes me want to laugh, considering they showed up at the inspection IN A HUMMER

My dad made vegeterian chili. Its good  He has been eating meatless stuff (meat made of veggies) because his arthritis acts up big time if he eats any sort of meat – EVEN in small amounts  .. I’ve been giving it a go as well. Meat is good, but I don’t think my body needs meat all the time  Plus there is nasty stuff in it

Little Chacha will be 1 in November.. I can’t believe it! I’ve had her for 9 months.. she has gotten so big. My dad was all excited when I let her out to play tonight  He said he remembers when Chacha was a baby bunny.. scared of me  .. Now, she lets me give pets when she is all laid out

I heard something stupid on the radio on the way to work this morning. “We prove that birds are actually really smart animals!” Are you serious?  I actually feel that animals are smarter than humans!

Uuuuugh. I am so tired of pain. Been gettign headaches every day for more than a week now. Bad ones too, not migraines, just headaches. But OMG they are annoying.

That’s weird, I thought once they made an offer and it’s accepted doesn’t it go into escrow and that’s that? I dunno much about real estate…just thought it was a done deal once the offer was accepted and papers signed. Bleh, that’s crumby.

Well, a person can bid and then the inspection gets done. After the inspection, the inspector tells the buyers what is wrong, what needs work, etc. My cousins did some work on the house and they really screwed it up. The buyers can knock $ off their offer (if accepted by the seller) or not even buy the house. The people still want to buy the house. We are just waiting for their response on the counter offer.

Have you been doing lots of your jewellry lately too? Bending over that sort of work can cause neck/head pain – usually because you become unaware how long you’ve been sitting in the one position. lol we got an e-mail last night from a girl whio wants some gerbils from us, I saw the name the e-mail came from and the name rung a bell, but it was signed by someone else, and she sounded young. the name rung a bell from work, so when I went to work today I pulled the file with that last name and sure enough the first name was a match. so this means I now “know” this family from 3 completly seperate area’s…the “mom” from work, because their dog comes to the daycare, the older daughter from school..which I only know because she came to pick the dog up one day and I recignized her..she was a year younger but hung out with a lot of people in my class..and now the younger daughter from our gerbil breeding. that made me laugh lol

on that note….Misty learned how to open the door at work today…its a heavy duty steel door with a round “ball” type shiny doorknob..she turned the damn knob and pulled the door open…I watched her.

I’ve been avoiding doing any jewellry work because of them. It COULD be from my physio, hope not though. At least I have a hubby to give me neck rubs!

At PT I do a crapload of knee bending exercises, exercises to strengthen my calves and thighs, exercises to work out the tension in my muscles, exercises to drive me insane, exercises that people that are mad into fitness do. It’s crazy I tell you. I do lunges! Ow >.<

I’m hoping these headaches go away soon, I have a back log of stuff to make for people And classes this weekend!

Been tired.. stressed. Can this place just sell? .. My uncle is in the middle of a counter offer and we haven’t heard from the family in a day.

However, after this mornings ‘SURPRISE OPEN HOUSE’ (WHICH made me very pissed off), my dad gets me from work and tells me he receives an email that the other bidder on the house is looking to going against the family that is currently counter offering. So, tomorrow morning, the family we are waiting on will get a notice that there is SOMEONE ELSE THAT wants the house

I don’t have high hopes but I think some respite & reclaiming of the house might be good.  Jersey’s marking an ever widening territory. Sometimes I think she’s marking the house as hers and Rumballs. Out stinky humans!

So my poor bunnies are confined to their 7x2m space. Such deprivation!    They actually seem content there but I find it hard not having them around – that I have to go there for some bunniness.

yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I got a parking Ticket at school yesterday as I had my ….$130 freaking dollar parking permit in my wallet that I just bought and was walking back to my car…. 10 week permit…130$ …..*rage* So the ticket is 49$ and I went online to dispute it. I said I had been going to that school for 4 years and never was in any parking violation and that I just spent 130$ for the pass and that I had it. I typed in the permit number and ohhhh my gosh I got an email this morning and they dismissed it! WEeeEE1!!!!!
