Whadda you got?  NIC.   NIC cubes that is.  So I got a bit excited when I saw these in catalogue here and went and bought 4 packs.

Even though I have free range buns that don’t need a condo….    It was a bit impulsive.  BUT these things are hard to find in Australia so I got them while I can.  I’ve only ever found a pack of 5 grids for $12 and these were 15 grids for $15.  So far I made a shelf (yes that’s right, a shelf!) for hay storage. Was a little bit fun putting it together.  I figure they’ll be handy to have for rabbit proofing, or a condo for the rabbits if I move, or any future rabbits I may get….

Anyway, heads up Aussie members, you can get grids packs at the Reject shop if you have one in your State.

I love NIC’s, i use them for so many things.
I’ve made shelves including for filing. I’ve made lots and lots of fencing, i use them indoors and out. My bunny room has a NIC fence to keep them in their area. Then I have the cages i’ve made out of them, and fun condos.
I have NIC’S of all colours all over my house LOL I have only one thing that i used the little snaps they come with to put them together, i find those things SO FRUSTRATING! So i use zip ties instead and everything works great!

I’ve seen people use them for baskets in their garage to hold like balls and things as well (instead of a shelf they can roll off of).

I bought a pack of NIC’s, and we weren’t sure what to do with them, until we worked out they were the perfect size and shape for bunny-proofing the TV in the living room. So we tidied all the cables away behind it and it still looks neat and chic.

We’re also using lines of three as gates between doorways.

Would gladly buy more – so useful!

Hey no fair! I’ve looked everywhere here in Alaska and haven’t found a single NIC cube yet! *grrr*

I’d like to see people’s hay rack constructions with the cubes. I need something a little more sturdy and durable than willow baskets for my three when they all bunk up together (eventually).

                        Cool!

I’m thinking I need to pick up another pack. I’ve been using mine as belated bunny proofing. I also need to get more zip ties so I can make gate for my hall doorway. I have a cheap baby gate, but it’s a hassle and clunky and Eddie can push it down. LOL So I can use the panels to make a better one that’s secured behind a bookcase and chair on either side of the doorway. Problem solved. Also need some for around my tv set.

MM… NIC grids are everywhere here. Thus, you should move down here. Brilliant, don’t you think?
