Hi.  My name is Amy.  I am not new to house rabbits but it has been a few years and I have never had a large rabbit.  We decided to get a new rabbit because we love them and no one in the family has an allergy to them.  Here is some info our new addition.

Hugo is a white Flemish Giant.  He is between 1 1/2 and 2.  We just adopted him from a local animal shelter that got him from another animal shleter that didn't know what to do with him and his brother so they dumped them in a goat pen.  Since then his brother passed away and he got very depressed and stopped eating.  He lost 3 or 4 lbs.  They got him eating again and he starting to gain weight.  He has been checked by the vet and was neutered yesterday.  He is doing great!  He is a very calm and laid back guy.  The night I met him I put him in my lap and he laid his chin on my leg and stayed there for about 10 minutes just letting me pet him.  I think he's more of a lap dog than a bunny!

I do not have pictures of him yet but here is a link to the pictures from the shelter.  http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/16536217
