Well we just arrived home from the vet  Linus is in fact a female rabbit!

My dad was so convinced it was a boy because “the pet store told you it’s a boy, why would they be wrong?” that he bet me 50 bucks that Linus is a boy. So I made 50 bucks too hahaha. But that doesn’t really matter, what matters is that I have a healthy female bunny!

I really liked the vet. She knew what she was doing and was very good at handling my bun. We set up our spay appointment for September 7th. We’ll drop her off the night before and pick up the day after. $400 dollars for a spay yikes! We’ve opted to have her be put on a catheter while she’s having the surgery in case of emergency.

So all in all it seems like a successful vet visit! My Linus is now a Luna

aaawww, well congratulations Luna! Don’t feel bad, my Pringles was declared boy then girl then boy by 3 different vets. When I took ‘him’ in for his neuter the fourth (and my current) vet found out for certain Pringles was a she.

Your dad’s a good sport about the bet, now you have a nest egg for emergencies (or toys!)

50 bucks! Score! lol And you can keep teasing your Dad forever on that one.

Glad you have the official word now. Had you been thinking of him/her as Luna since you first began to suspect?

Oh wow kralspace! It took 4 vets to tell you your bun is a girl? That’s crazy!

Hahah oh I definitely will tease him! He was so confident and I just thought it was hilarious how his cockiness blew up in his face!
Yes I’ve been thinking of her as Luna ever since the beginning of the month, it was weird at first but now I’m used to it. It suits her I think

LizzieKnittyBun I love the name too! ^^

A little Princess! Now you can buy her lots of pink stuff! Everything in Olivia’s cage is pink and purple.

$400.00 for a spay. That’s steep!!! Where I am, it’s about $170.00. From what I see on here, I think we have pretty good vet prices over here but it certainly doesn’t seem that way when it’s time to pay!!

Haha… you should have bet him the difference between the neuter price and the spay price if you were so confident!

Oh darn why didn’t I think of that! That’s a good idea Beka!

Wow 170 dollars for a spay! Wow I wish we had that price here! And she’ll definitely get tons of girly pink stuff hehe

Well at least you can put the $50 towards the spay. And really that price sounds reasonable.

                            Congrats on your ‘girl’ bunny

One of my vet’s thought my neutered lop was a girl, i told him no he was a neautered boy buny, after poking and proding over and over he said “Opps, sorry there little guy” lol… yup boy… and now a mad boy after all the poking at his man parts. lol
