While my bunnies have definitely turned me into a bun addict, I’ve always been a dog person at heart but have been dogless for a few years while I was living in pet-unfriendly lodging and moving around a lot. Well, I decided life is short and now was as good a time as any to finally get another dog… this is Cedar He’s about 6-7 years old, sweet as pie, and is a little scared of everything right now but that’s pretty understandable… he came out of some really awful living conditions. When the local shelter picked him up as a stray, he was absolutely emaciated, ridden with flea bites and was missing most of the hair on the top of his nose- likely he was kept in an outdoor run and rubbed all the hair off trying to escape. But the shelter did a wonderful job with him- he’s a good weight and his skin is improving, and now he has a forever home!!!! Also, he appears to be terrified of rabbits thus far (so much for worrying about getting a hound breed- he’s a full beagle)… while I’m definitely taking precautions of crating and separating when I’m not home, that was at least a good start in my book Plus, his presence definitely sealed the bond for Riesling and Peanut Butter…

        .

Well, for his past he certainly looks great now! Congratulations! I really love Beagles….though the only 2 I’ve even had experience with were 2 portly but full on boys. They took some energy! I’m pretty certain there are a couple members here with Beagles and rabbits.
