I’m bunnysitting a friends rabbits for her – I have no idea how long they will be with me.  And “NO” – I’m not keeping them.

She has Bogie and Bobby.  Bobby is a little gray netherland that was dumped at her rescue – the vet suspected he was dumped because he was having dental problems – abscesses, etc…he has lost all the bottom teeth on the left of his teeny tiny little mouth but  the abscess has cleared up thanks to pen-g shots.

Anyway, I think he’s pretty darn cute – I think she should have called him Mr. Mouse though because he’s tiny and gray.  The vet said he’s not even 2 pounds.  The first time I met him she had him in a pen with the guinea pigs while his cage was being cleaned and they piggies were larger than him.

The first photo is Bogie – he’s about 8 years old – I didn’t want to leave him out.  He’s a real sweetie.

So Bogie is what Pringles would look like with upp ears! cutie!

I saw that tiny one on her site, Mouse would be a good name for him. Does he have to get teeth trims?

You are right Kralspace – I didn’t see that until now! Well Dr. Effie said that normally when they have some molars removed it slows down the growing of the teeth or something along those lines. She said he probably will have to get molar trims but it won’t have to be so frequently. It took about 6 weeks and 2 dental surgeries to get him in good shape.

Pringles and Bogie do resemble each other don’t they!

I see Pringles too looking at Bogie! What lucky rabbits to end up with you even though temporarily. How does Bobby eat? Just fine?

Wow they’re cute! I love those rabbits with the black-and-white cow markings. So are you just housing them until they find a permanent home? That’s so nice… I’m completely incapable of doing that, I’ve isolated myself from animals that need to be adopted because I’m a sucker and can’t resist them. When the bunny was literally thrown in my lap I didn’t know what else to do. Funny to think that the first week he was surrendered to us I was calling around trying to find someone to take him… now I wouldn’t give him up even if someone paid me! I’m already thinking about finding him another bunny friend… but not for a couple years at least…

Mmmm-hmmmm.  Okay Sarita.  Whatever you say.

I’m kidding.  I think it’s great you’re able to take care of her buns for awhile.  They are absolutely precious.  Are they a pair?

                              D’aww! ^_^ That’s squee material for sure

Does Bobby keep his cuddly cup clean? I have yet to have success with any of mine not peeing on the soft stuff.

I would have a hard time returning him. He is too cute!

Petzy – Bobby seems to eat very well. I give him the matchstick carrots and he can eat the lettuce leaves whole. He has not problems that I can see with treats either.

Maya – I’m pretty sure they are going to go back to my friend – I’m just helping her while she deals with some medical issues with her husband. I would most likely just keep them if for some reason she could not take them back. Bogie is around 8 years old and not many people want an older rabbit – not sure why, he’s easy to take care of. Bobby would be easy to find a home for as long as someone can commit to future medical bills for his teeth – those bills can add up. But I’m really counting on her to take them back eventually.

They are not a bonded pair.

Mimz – Bobby never pee’s on that cuddle cup. He does sometimes pee outside his litter box, but mainly he’s pretty good about using it.
