I bought a new puppy on Monday!  It’s a Tibetan Terrier.  I named her Tibbit.  They are supposed to have a very low prey drive, so I thought it would be a good breed to have, since I have bunnies.  They aren’t related to terriers or act like terriers at all.

Pics will be coming soon!  So far the buns don’t really care about her and she doesn’t really care about them either.  Perfect!

This has been a really crazy week!

Early on Monday morning when I was cleaning the Buns litter boxes I found a pin worn on one of Tansy’s fresh poos.    That is my ultimate phobia!  I am so afraid of tape/ring/pin worms.  All the yucky parasites.  Monday was also the day I got my new (unpotty trained) puppy.

I went straight to the vet and they gave me some meds for the Buns to kill both pin and ring worms.  I gave them the first dose and then I have another dose to give in 2 weeks.

They said the puppy would be fine, because it was already on meds to prevent parasites and if she didn’t come in contact with the litter boxes.  So buns are doing great and the puppy is doing great.  Although, I am really tired.  The first 2 nights I got about 3 hours of sleep.  Between the puppy whining and the Buns thumping, it was hard to get any sleep.  Now it’s a lot better.  I haven’t heard a single thump from the Buns for days and the puppy is very happy, she doesn’t make a single noise.  Zero barking.

Potty training is going so-so.  Half the time she gets it right and goes outside.  She’s only 3 1/2 months old and she hasn’t had any training.  She learned how to sit the 2nd day I had her though!  She is really smart.  I think she will be OK with the Bunnies eventually – when she is older.  She is very nice with my cat.  She Looooves the cat and wants to be its best friend.  Catty puts up with it, but isn’t impressed with puppy kisses.

So that’s my excuse for not having any pics to add to this post yet!

Congrats on the new puppy! I’m soooo jealous; I’m dying for a puppy, but they aren’t allowed where I live and I definitely don’t have the time to train one. You need to post pics soon so I can live vicariously through you. I’ve heard that Tibetan Terriers are supposed to make fantastic pets because they’re so low-key… definitely a good choice for co-habitating with buns.

She had a couple shots at the vet yesterday. Even while they were giving her the shots she was wagging her tail. She is so sweet!
Potty training is going much better. I have been keeping a log of when she goes, so I can tell when it’s about time for her to go again. It works!

Keeping the log is a great idea, it gets her into a routine too. She seems like such a sweet puppy!
