A while back someone from BB here stated her rabbit had an ulcer on it’s lip.   The vet prescribed a cream and it was gone in a week never to reappear.

Was it Lionlop or little puffy tail?   I can’t seem to remember.

I wanted to know what that cream was so we can try it on Cotton.

I have treated him for 8 days straight.  His right spot cleared up then today it was back.   I just dont’ get this I was treating that part of his lip too. Everyday.

        Yes I am still trying

          Hi Bunnytowne! *waves*

How is his lip looking these days?

I’ve found one thread that mentions a cream but I think this came up before and you discovered it was same ingredients as what you were already using. Here’s the link. https://www.binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/a…fault.aspx  (edited)

I haven’t found anything else. But there’s lots of new bunny-experienced members around so maybe they might have a suggestion.

Did you ever have xrays done of his teeth?

If you’re sure it was one of them, I would say Little Puffy Tail. Lion Lop hasn’t been on in quite a while. You can email LPT directly and ask her via the message center. Then if it wasn’t her, she might remember who it was.

It does sound like it’s chronic and in his system to stay. In people you can get a cold sore (or herpie) on the lips that can reoccur once a year or more, but treatment will work. I think those may be viral and in the system. Anyway, if it clears up fast with the cream, at least he’s finding relief.

Glad to hear from you, btw. Hugs to Cottonboo and Princess Ruby.

Hey, Bunnytowne, where have you been hiding?

I’m sorry I can’t help you, it wasn’t me you are thinking of. I’m not sure who it was.

              Hugs to you and Cotton!

YEs thats the one I can try speaking to his vet about it.  She really wanted to know what the med was.  She stated even though they have the same ingredients they may be in different amounts.

The thing is I can’t pull up the link I paste it says link not found.      I  never seem to have any luck looking stuff up on the search section either.

Cotton is doing good.  His lip still hangs down it doesn’t cover his teeth.  That is cause it is a bit swollen.  I put his cream on for the last time today.  Since it really isn’t working.   It does seem to keep it from getting worse like it was b4 so I can put it ever 3 days.

Cotton wasn’t too happy with me.  Can’t blame him.  He hadn’t chewed his willow tunnel I ordered from here 2 years ago.   Then he started feeling better and chewed it up 2 months ago  lol.   That is with me creaming him 3x a week.

HE darts and binkies around for food.  lol.

He stuck his head at Ruby’s cage door and she took the hair off his nose again.  When I am not home going to the store or be gone for a wihle I will have to put him in his cage  to protect his nose.   Ruby won’t get him while we are home since I fussed about it.

She had fun yesterday she ran around in the bedroom.  I like that when I see a white blurr zoom by  lol.

Hmmm.  That is a thought.   It being something in his system that is stuck there.   At least it can be kept at a minimum of irritation for him.  It gets a lot worse if I don’t treat it  3x a week.

Seems like that is the best we can do.  I just have to accept that.  Thump.

He comes up to the top of his house next to me on the couch.  I pet him n pet him.  He stretches out starts listing to one side as he dozes off.   I am glad he is enjoying his chews.

Come dessert time he bounces all over the living room.  Then he stands on his hind legs lookin at the table lol.  Hint hint mum.

I tried the search too and can’t find it.  I am terrible at this stuff.  If it is on BB I can’t find anything.  It isnt’ BB’s fault either cause other people can find stuff.  Hmpf go figure

Sorry BT, I should have made that a hyperlink. I’ll edit it in my original post.  So this was the med you were thinking of?  The test you’ve done only ever showed inflammation sisn’t they?  Maybe theres a foreign body in his lip or his teeth irritate it somehow.

With searches I hardly ever use the BB search feature.   I use a tip Osprey once posted about. I type site:www.binkybunny.com in the search box on Google and then put in any key words. Like Cotton’s lip.  It will bring up near every post that his lip has been mentioned in.
