We got this self filling bowl for Dexter and Dennis and it is the best thing ever! The bowl is smaller than their old bowl which is nice because Dennis’ big chest and Dexter’s chin kept dipping in the bigger bowl when they drank. It is the perfect bunny size and heavy enough that it will not get tipped!

I keep finding the best bunny things at the Marine Corps Exchange store that is on my husband military base. This is the first one I have found where the bowl is small enough and not really deep. Dexter had never had a bowl until he moved in with Dennis and he never touched the bottle once he was offered the bowl, now he loves it! A great buy for $9!

I have to wonder if there are many rabbits in the military; why would that store have such cool stuff?

The pet selection there is quite small but it is awesome, very universal! They have a lot of bird suppiles. The tubes, water bowls, pet beds, cat litter boxes, etc. They are all bunny worthy! The only “bunny” specific things they have there are alfalfa pellets, for the 5 lb. it is ($2), bags of timothy hay ($8), and alfalfa cubes ($5), gotta love it all being tax free!

That thing is cool; we used to have a similar one for the cats. Just make sure that it doesn’t get moldy on the bottom where the water sits all day. This was a problem for us even though we cleaned it often.

I like the idea of this and have tried it before but I had no success with it. It’s hard to move when I clean and I like to change my rabbits water twice a day especially when they are shedding and the water gets hairy.

I hope you can make it work for you, because it is a great idea.

If I would put this in with Davey and Delilah there is no way it would work. That fluffy floaty fur! The amount of hair that would collect on top, it wouldn’t even be usable. Dexter and Dennis are very clean luckily and the only real cleaning their pen requires is picking up the poops in the morning.

I have several of those for my dogs but you constantly catch the bunnies drinking out of them.

Ruby drinks lots of water.   I have to refill her 2 bowls daily.   Either I get her a bigger bowl or one of those big water things.

Don’t know where in her cage it would fit.  I could just use it in the bedroom for her.  Yeah on my way to the bathroom at nite knock it over  lol.

                              Not a bad idea though

I use a dog size water dish for one of my pens. Those auto-refilll ones, we use them at our Shelter. They get scrubed at least once a week, as they do get slimey on the bottom. They are so great for multiple bunnies, and can’t be knocked over either.

I make sure it gets cleaned at least once a week! So far it is the best!
