There are about 10 rabbits at the Hayward shelter, and as many of them need out by Thursday as possible.  If you are interested in adopting, please go to the Hayward shelter directly.  They are open today until 6pm & tomorrow until 7pm.  If you know anyone who might be able to adopt or foster, please pass this message on!

If you're interested in fostering one of these rabbits as an indoor house rabbit, and could bring the rabbit to a Saturday adoption event once or twice a month, call House Rabbit Society (510) 970-7575 and ask for more information on fostering a Hayward rabbit.

Here's the article in the local newspaper about the shelter's crisis and call for adopters: http://www.tricityvoice.com/deptSto...-02-164109

The rabbits have gotten an extension until Sunday, due to a quick TV news spot.  Some of them will be attending the Bunny Art Show & Adoption Event, and we're hoping for adoptions there.  Also, they are at the shelter and available for adoption today (Thursday), tomorrow, and Saturday.  The shelter is closed Sundays.

If you can adopt, please go to Hayward Shelter directly.  If you can foster, please call House Rabbit Society, (510) 970-757.
