  I’ve been noticing lots of people (including myself) Post up things on guinea pigs. Anyone Know of any websites as great as this one for guinea pigs?

  I think piggies are cute. I even had a couple but turns out I’m allergic to them so they had to go back.

  I have two that used to belong to my grandkids. They’re a lot of fun but I can’t sneak into the fridge without them setting off a noisy alarm.

  Yup, I used to post on guineapigcages.com a lot before I came here. It’s a great website with lots of members to help out with guinea pig questions. There are so many members there I can hardly keep up with them all!!

  I’ve posted on that Guinea Pig forum before, but it seems their forum is so mean. Lots of snottiness and condescending posts. I’m glad that BB isn’t like that.
  
  I had a guinea pig when I was younger, and then bought another one (unknowingly pregnant) at a pet store. So we had 4 babies a short time later. I think they are very cute, but they’re a lot of work because of the caging requirements, and I didn’t feel like I got much from them in return. So I’m a rabbit gal now. Plus, I wouldn’t want to have to buy two separate litters and foods… I spend enough money as it is.

  Beka, I almost wrote the same post as you. I joined that forum when I first got the piggies, especially to learn about taking care of a handicapped one like Snowflake (lethal, blind, deaf, etc). They pounced on me like I was an idiot for asking questions, how dare I have them and not know everything about them like they did….sheeze. I had them because my grandkids were not taking care of them and I wanted to give them a better home and needed to learn. Boy, do I LOVE BB forums!

  Does NOT sound good. I wonder if BB can post up a Guinea Section. I have plenty of questions with my guineas and no where to go.

  You can post some questions about guinea pigs here in the lounge. I don’t know that BB wants a section dedicated to pigs because there aren’t enough members who specialize in them to really be of that much benefit. I think many of us know bits and pieces about them, but even having had 6 at one time, I am in no way an expert.
