I'm new to this forum and new to rabbits.  :

I am a proud new bunny mom of a 9 week old flemish giant little girl that we've named Hazel (I'm sure there are already a ton of Hazels )

Hazel has been living with us for 6 days, and we're pleased as punch to have her with us. So far she is really sweet and already very social and curious about everything.  She wants to come out of her pen/cage every moment of the day, but with working on littertraining and trying to let her ease in to her new home she gets about 60-90 mins of outside of cage playtime a day and a few hours of us sitting next to her and talking and petting at her pen a day.

We waited to get a bunny because I knew I wanted a flemish and we just finished our new house which gave us the space we needed for a big bun.  My husband and I also share our home with 2 small parrots, Mabel and Toki.  And I look forward to learning a lot here!

Welcome! Hazel is adorable! This forum is great for your questions and as always PICTURES!! we love those. My bunny is just 16 weeks old and we are doing the litter training nightmare. LOL Some days she's awesome and some days I'm all about chasing her around with vinegar to get it out of my carpet. LOL I am going to have to reduce her out of pen time myself. She has a very large 4 x 4 foot exercise pen to run in, but I let her out in the remaining part of the room at night.. usually 6 to 8 hours. I think I need to reduce that. She might get the hang of it better if I do.

Welcome, Kristi and Hazel!
She is beautiful. Many of our members say how they love Flemmies, so you will probably have some fans.

We love pix, too, so be sure to take more to show her off.

Welcome Kristi & Hazel!! Your picture does look like a painting, I thought the same thing as Petzy. ..by the "Flemish" painter Rembrandt...? Hazel certainly is photogenic - and gorgeous! Post lots of pictures. Be nice to see her in action too!
