        Hi Everyone,

To make it easier for us to attend to current posts, I ask that no one pull up old posts to respond to. (old as in a year or years ago).  If you want to refer to an old post, you can offer the link, but please avoid responding to them.  I think what may be happening is some members may search for a subject or ?? and then not look at the dates??.   Older posts most likely have been resolved and so  it is better to focus on responding to more current posts.

We are working on be able to archive old posts that are locked so they can still be used for reference only, in the meantime stick to current and recent posts.

        Thank you

mocha, you have to search for the exact term and this can be tricky at times. Give me an example of what you are searching for.

The search can also bring up an error message sometimes. It’s not the best. The site needs updating.

Petzy or whichever leaders “pinned” my post.  THANK YOU!!  I forgot to do that.

I do appreciate it when members update their OWN older threads. For example, maybe your bunny was sick, or you were dealing with some kind of rabbit issue, but then you didn’t have internet access for awhile. If you come back on the site, please feel free to bump up YOUR OWN original post to let us know how everything turned out.

But just bumping up random threads for no reason can be frustrating for us Forum Leaders. We have a large number of posts to read everyday, so it’s inconvenient when we have to sort thru older threads. If you do this, don’t be surprised if your reply gets deleted.

wasn’t me who pinned it, BB.

–mocha, in order to use the search function I usually just type in the term I remember that was used in a particular post and leave all the other fields blank. I agree, when you try to narrow your search by filling in any of the boxes to the left in the search page, it doesn’t work for me either. So to just search a particular forum doesn’t really work. But you can always make a post in the forums asking for help with finding something specific

OK I am new to Bunnies, I do a Search on Google and a link will come up and some of them have been BB links to information I want to ask … I think it is a little silly if I need to open a new thread if there is one already about the subject and it is a little old.

Again, the issue is not reading old posts for information that is relevant. It is responding with a new reply to an old post. Many times the whole situation has been resolved and an unnecessary email will be sent to the author weeks or years after the original post. It is a well-founded rule for the BB forums that we ask our members to follow. Thank you.

I am locking this thread now.
