I discovered accidentally that my rabbits enjoy sliding... I didn't mean for my rabbits to have a slide but it seems like fun for them, so here they go.

I love it! I didn't think Neigey would be able to make that jump back up, I was shocked! So cute how he flopped out after!

Deirdra is like, "Uh... I'm just gonna EAT, if you don't mind..."

I love that pen, I was thinking it would be dark inside... but it's not!

I'm laughing hysterically.. Your white bunny looks like it shoved grumpy face down the slide.

He did shove Lint down. It's typical of him. My white bunny isn't very polite at all.

I agree... Neigey, the white bun, is a nuisance... but a cute one.

Neigey is so cute! He says it was time for a nap! They look like they are having fun on the slide though.

I love how Lint gets shoved in the butt - it looks so much like how Hannah treats Otto. lol

So funny! Though Deirdra is clearly having none of it :-P

I love Neigey. He's too cute.

What is the slide made out of?

Also, what kind of camcorder do you have? I am getting tired of making everyone suffer with the el cheapo I got 3 years ago with the very low resolution. Wondering what other folks like to use.

I have a a casio exilim digital camera, 8.1 mega pixels, that I use for my videos also. It is now around $ 200, much cheaper than when I got mine a few years ago.
The slide is the plastic tray from a wire dog crate.

That is awesome, I bet next week those buns are going to be watersking or something....lol

I like the last few seconds of Neigey with those ears pinned back, looks just like She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named ;-)

Oh Petzy, I guess that Neigey had too much fun pushing grumpy face Lint down the slide that it broke  (*Snatches Lint!*)

Here I put some photos for you. It's hard to get the whole thing in a photo, it is 12' by 12' and 40" high.

There it sat before I moved it. It had bushes in it at that time and not many accessories, it was basically just four pieces of siding with a lattice top of loose wooden beams

then I moved it and made a proper mesh top. If it rains which has done lots this year I throw a tarp on til the weather clears. That way they can be outside even if there is a chance of showers. It is very important to keep your ground dry; if there are droppings that get wet -- you will get flies in your pen.

the siding is sitting in a trench we dug and then filled back in so the weasels cannot squeeze under. Weasels don't dig unless there is already a tunnel started

About tunnel starts, all rabbits will dig up the ground given enough time. I lined my pen with mesh which also makes clean-up of litter easier. Except for Lint my rabbits potty in all corners in this pen because they feel the soft ground.

here is the mesh, it warps in some places which I need to fix. I used a weed screen and some chicken wire in the other half. There is always something to fix.

this is inside. the wire crate in the corner serves no purpose other than it supports the look-out. I may change that in the future. The look-out will stay because it allows my rabbits to get into the breeze.

the siding is screwed into wooden posts in all corners

the look-out sits on the roof which is metal. It must have cardboard on it or it will get HOT. The look-out is just a cage with a tray on top for shade, in the rain I use a plastic crate top to cover it.

I will attach pictures of their shelter below in a new post

covered

the shelter has a door to close it up for at night -- we have bats here that would love to hang in this hutch.

inside shelter (the roof opens up)

under shelter for shade

Mops loves this brick because it is cool. Pardon his botched hair cut.

Petzy, that is so cool. It looks like they love it there.

I'm so used to having my bunny with me in the house all the time. Do you ever feel too far away from them? Are you outside a lot?
