has anyone ever consitered eventing their bunnies? hersheys great with kids, she'll let them do anything to her.
Twix likes kids but wont let them pick her up but she'll smush right beside them and beg for pets and treats though.

so i was thinking that since i've moved away from all little kids and the bunnies miss them terribly. maybe doing events like b-day parties and such... i think the buns would enjoy it!

My Siamese Sweethearts, Hershey & Twix........... <3 And In My Attempted Un-selfish Thoughts I Find Myself Thinking... If This Is The Best I Can Do With Just My Thoughts, Than What Is The Best That Can Be Done By Someone Who Has Not Only my Thoughts But The Chance To Make Them A Reality?

I think it's not a good idea. You are putting your rabbits at risk with all those children who don't know how to properly hold a rabbit. Also the rabbits would be stressed going from place to place as well.

It is a bad idea. I wanted to do classroom presentations with one of my rabbits but have decided against it. Seriously, you never know if your rabbit is going to bite. As a species, I think, they are not meant for this sort of thing. I do know a lady in Hamilton, ON, who does therapy visits with a rabbit but those are for elderly not for children.

It's not something I would do, especially with kids.

Stormy's technically a therapy bunny, but I rarely take him. One of the conditions of him passing the test was that the old folks can never hold him, since he wiggles, and they tend to beg and plead to hold him and I have to say no. So I prefer to take my dog.
