Since I was trolling the internet the other night looking at x-pens I started putting a list together of cheaper items that you can get shipped to your front door for your rabbits so here is my list with links included.

        2 teir rabbit hutchhttp://www.oo.com.au/Two_Tier_Rabbi…6C1636.cfm

Not great but a friend got it and has altered it so that the rabbits can go between levels then added an x=pen around the front and this is their condo with play area.  All for under $200 it is not bad.  She does not love the flooring so she laid rubber backed carpet and staple gunned it down and this seems to help her bunnies with traction and also she just vacums it clean every few days.

        Cat Tunnelshttp://www.oo.com.au/Cat_Tunnel_-_C…67C943.cfm

These are really cheap, same brand at my local discount pet shop is $24 and up. Even with Postage these are a good deal.

        Puppy Bedhttp://www.oo.com.au/Plush_Pet_Bed_…5C1590.cfm

REALLY CHEAP – even cheaper then last time I looked as they are one sale.  The great thing about these is that the insert is removable therefore if you rabbit pees on it then you can wash it and replace and not have to wash the whole bed!

        Outdoor single level hutchhttp://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/rab…0-465-385/

I hate these hutches but if you have one rabbit and want it to be able to spend a few hours outside then they are not bad.  Also most pet shops sell for over $100 so nice and cheap. If you want an indoor one then there are not a bad start but think you can find better hutches (see first entry).  I know a few people who have these for their rabbits so that they can go outside for a few hours each day and they know they are safe.

        Double Hutchhttp://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/dou…bit-hutch/

This is cheap for this, local warehouse pet shop has these for $375.  I know a few people who have them as indoor hutches and if you have the room then they are great

        Another Hutchhttp://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/rab…0-56-48cm/

Again a good base for an indoor condo if you don’t want to build your own.

        X-pens (cheapest to most expensive)

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/pet…per-panel/

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/hex…en-handle/ ( the one I ordered)

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/oct…-diameter/

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/rec…5-80-70cm/

All these are really cheap compared to stores.  The second one is the one that I am getting and may get another one depending on what area they cover ( I such at measuring anything!)  The last one a friend has and if you could combine 2 together then I would get these as the are a lot more stable.  I have not seen the last link sold in any regular pet shop.

        Rabbit scatching posthttp://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/cat…-platform/

I saw a lady on another board had this for her bunny.  She removed the ball handing down but as her rabbits don’t seem to eat it carpet they love it and it does not seem that high so they can jump up and on it.

        Retro Sofahttp://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/pet-sofa-retro-design/

I just think this is cute and would look even cuter with a bunny asleep on it!

        Dog Crates –

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/42-…-dog-cage/

        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/black-dog-crate/

Neither of these are the biggest but again a good start for a single bunny.  Over here Dog crates cost so much it is not funny so these two being cheap are good.

Anyway hope this list will be helpful to somebody.

Thank you so much for putting this together!!! We don’t have many AUS members, but when they do come on asking questions, we don’t always know where to direct them as most of us are in the US and Canada.

Maybe BB can link to this thread somehow (or add the links) for the Cool Habitat section…

            Cool.

I got an xpen thru deals direct. The 3rd link of xpens you posted. I think it was $60. It’s handy as I can use the panels as barricades and I used it during bonding though Jersey managed to jump over it. The panels are light weight so I’ve found I can zip tie 2 overlapped to increase the vertical height. The door isn’t a walk thru but I think it could be altered fairly easily.

We don’t have many AUS members

Yeah, where are all the Aussie members?!

Jerseygirl that is why I went for the 2nd link one it is 89cm high when they one you got was 75cm high so hoping the extra will stop them from getting over.

Deals direct is great for thing like this, really thinking of the retro lounge and the dogs beds when my guys start living together, all these things I can change once I get one of the cages out of the room!
