Ani, Kyoto & PitStop have moved into the pen Ani & Bo used to live in, that I have had closed since Bo's passing.
I 're-vamped' it with adding onto the NIC Condo in the back, useing some of their old cage (carpet/blankets/litterpan) to keep their scent in hopes to not stress them or their new bond.

So far Ani & Kyoto have settled in just fine, PitStops a little out of place
I'm still working on things here, I will replace their yellow litter pan with a small square high backed one, and I want to cut windoes in the divider so the bunnies can see each other (Baby & Bubba in the next pen).
The bunnies love sunbathing, so I tried to give them as much window as possible.

The pen the bunnies were living in will be coming apart to make room for a table that will hold a large aquarium, Bruce my degu will be living in, and make more room for the bunnies 'play' area. I am getting some new toys to add in the next while to, so should be fun.

Ok, picture lol... (Pen is 6x4 feet)

My Little Trio

And "Mommas Boy" LOL...

Yesterday I went down to check on them, I had Baby & Bubbas pen and the trio's open for free run play time. I found Pitters & Kyoto snuggled in front of Spencer & Suzy's Pen, Bubba in his Pen munching Hay, and Baby on the top level of the new cage with Ani!
I was so shocked! He was just hanging out there with her, and she's such a bag I for sure thought she wouldn't have let him LOL
I love that they all get along so well now

I think I had posted some of my other set ups once before. Not sure where/when though. hhmmm...

Is that so - they really like to sunbathe?? I would have thought with their heat problems that wouldn't be a favorite activity! Pictures...

I'm always freaked out when i see Pitters laying in the direct sunlight having a snooze LOL. But he loves it, he will search out the direct light as it comes through and lay there. Spencer like to bunny flop on the heating Vents in the living room LOL When it get's real warm out though, I close the 'curtains' to keep it cooler... to bad so sad bunnies LOL

If they are outside and it's warm out there isn't a lot of direct sun bathing (Well except Pitters, he's kinda odd). So it'sa bit different when they are in the cool house and sunbathing then out in the heat sunbathing. My Degu, Bruce also sunbaths by my kitchen door when i have it open and the stormdoor closed. I swear he's smiling there too :p

Hahahaha. Baby looks like she's looking at you with consternation and defiance at being scolded. May I ask what kind of grooming tools you use on her long fur? And do you groom her every day? Does she have many tangles? Thanks! All your bunnies look lovely. And what a swell setup...Sunbathe on in good health, little ones!

Baby (who's a 'he' lol, i didn't name him) has actually a very easily groomed coat. It helps that he actually LIKES being groomed. I use a small comb, a slicker brush and just my hands. When he's shedding I kind of pinch the loose fur out, it works the best. He get's mats but not bad ones, as I can pull them apart, sometimes i cut them to make it easier and so that I'm not pulling to much at his skin, I don't want to make grooming a bad experiacne. He usually teeth puurs when he get's brushes LOL

Kyoto is a Silver Martin. He's about 3 years old, and was born in rescue when his Mom, a feral bunny was saved before her home was demolished after owners left all their bunnies and sold their property to a constrution company.

These pictures are a bit older. Kyoto now has a large dewlap due to fatty tumors developing in it It's not attractive, but they are not harmful to him in any way. he was supposed to live with me for 2 months while a shelter space came available, my old bunyn Mittens fell in love with him, so he sort of stayed. When Mittens passed he stayed with PitStop and is now part of this new Trio with Ani since her partner passed away.

That looks great! All your buns are so cute!

As far as the sunbathing, as long as they have the ability to get out of the sun when they choose, they're fine. They won't just lay there and overheat. My buns prefer to lay on top of the air conditioning vents, they're like me, they want to be cool.

Thanks

Baby & Bubba were my first bunnies, and a few times I thought "What was I thinking!" as Baby is a very naughty Bunny. He sprays, chews and just pees everywhere. But on top of all that he's cuddley, friendly, and just soooooo beautiful ... eerrr Handsome
If he did not pee everywhere, i would absolutly just have all 5 of them together. But since I was never able to litter train him (tried for 2 years!) I just can't see it fair that the other 'clean' bunnies have to live in his mess. I feel sorry for Bubba, as his partner he has to put up with that, and Bubba is very clean. So for now, it's just play time friends which they all seem to enjoy.
Baby has a thing for the ladies... he's always snuggled with Suzy-Q who's probably 4 or 5 lbs bigger then he is LOL

Aieeeeeee so cute! I have seen so much of that, little boy bun with big lady snuggles. Maybe it's a bunny thing. That is a shame about his bad littler habbits but at least he is sweet and gives you lots of love.

haha we should start a thread on Big Girl Buns with Little Boy Buns LOL

At least with all that Fur Baby looks a bit bigger. His Brother Bubba also has a thing for Suzy, so the three of them are always together during outside play time.

I just love Baby. At a bunny show I went to recently, I got to hold a little angora who looked just like him. Was the sweetest thing, kept snuggling into me demanding pets.

...I so want an angora lol. A satin angora, not one where you cant tell its a bunny... hehe. And a friend of mine would love it if I got one. She spins her own yarn and loved the angora fur I got her from the RA group

Oh yes, of course, I heard that Costco had them but never when I'm there.

Honestly, me either. I bought two boxes off a girl who bought out a ton at Costco. I look when i am there and never seen them, she said it's only certain times of the year they carry them, would love to know when that time of the year is LOL. mind you not now, I have a billion of them.

Baby is a real character, I think he looks like the perfect chocolate east bunny some days. And he was the most beautiful eye lashes.

Caught in the act of eye grooming LOL... theya re both big eye lickers, they groom everyones eyes they meet.

This is the very first day i got them home.

I was actually going to foster two fuzzy lops before I found out these two's situation.

I was reading about Jersey Whoolies once, and read breeders cull them because their coats as an undesirable trait
I find their coat much easier to care for than Angoras, as it's less thick.
I guess I am a sucker for the 'undesireable' LOL cuz I think he's a beauty.
