This morning I woke up & was doing my normal mornin routine, cutting & cleaning greens etc! When Lily kept hoping towards me in the kitchen, but everytime I went to pet him, he hopped away towards the living room. I would just go back to what I was doing, then he’d do it again, and again and again! LOL! So I finally fallowed him into the living room & he stopped right infront of his cage looking at the mess he made in there, lol, he had dumped over his corner litter box & all his dishes! It was like he wanted me to fix it! LOL! So I cleaned everything up & fed him! Has this happened to anyone else & their bunnies?

                      hahaha poo tips

lily sure is testing the maid service efficiency!

once baby bun ran out of her room, skidded to a stop and sat in the hallway glaring at me while i was puttering in the kitchen. it was a first so it caught my attention and i looked at her and said ‘hi there!’ then she turned and ran back into her room. i followed her and when i got to the door of her room she ran between me and her bone-dry-empty water bottle. she had somehow knocked off the spigot thingy and the whole thing had emptied into her litter. she sure was thristy… poor thing!

                        LOL! You think!
I just find it amazing that he came to get me, he hasn’t done it since but I am trying to get him to use a larger litter box. He does NOT like change! I tried it in his cage, but refused to go into it & ran & hid. so after a few days braught it back out & filled it with his hay. But this time I put it beside his cage & eventually will move it into the cage! HOPING to anyway! He’s gotten so big, & looks so silly in the little corner litter box!

Bunnies are just amazing! Lily drinks out of a bowl & won’t use the bottles, kinda lucky there. Poor thing, baby bun knew she couldn’t put it back up on her own! Happy you were home!

Sammy has communicated like that too, though I don’t have a specific memory to substantiate that. She just makes it clear that a mess is to be noticed and cleaned. I do remember one night she wouldn’t stop chewing on the bars like she usually does, and after a while I thought she might be in distress so went to look. Sure enough, she had made a mess from the litter box. I let her out and she hovered next to me while I cleaned it, then was very willing to go back to bed. They really are so smart. Silently, too.

And people say buns can’t communicate.   Blah

Laith did that.   His bottle was empty and he would sit by it lookin at me.   Finally I went to look and noticed it and refilled it for him he was thirsty

                            Buns are very smart.

funny she wanted her mess cleaned up   rofl

When I clean their cages and litterboxes Cotton will come to investigate.  If I don’t get his box and he needs it he hangs around then goes where his box was b4 I cleaned it.

Yep, my boybun used to come get me to tattle on the hamster when she got out. It’s funny to think of a 12 pound rabbit being intimidated by a 2 ounce hamster. He hated that hamster – because she would burrow under his bunny belly for security – and he would run up to me, put his front paws on my knee, and look up pleadingly. He knew who to come to for rescue.

LOL! Bunnies are very smart! That’s awesome that he’d rat on the hampster! LOL! Lily got mad at me this weekend for trying to get rid of the cage altogether, just putting a litter box in ‘Lily’s” area. I had to put the cage back! He had poo’d all around the box, not one in it! It’s so funny to see him sitting in a little corner litter box in his cage! LOL! and that’s the only thing inside the cage, besides a handfull of hay! The larger litter box is right beside the cage 1/2 is hay & the rest is litter! He uses that litter box there all of the time, but he likes it there & he loves his cage! They are just so funny! He just doesn’t like messes or change, everything that’s his has to stay the way it is! LOL!
