Hey, has anyone ever brought their bunny to Picture People, or anywhere that takes pictures?

I LOVE pictures and am very big into scrapbooking and I’d love to have pictures of him done. One of the guys in the building that I work in owns a photography studio so I was thinking about asking him. I think it would be cute. Especially to buy him some little sweaters or something, if he would let me put them on. He’s very friendly and always puts his face up to the camera. If I go, I will be sure they do not use a flash, because I don’t want his eyes to get hurt.

Let me know what you all think about it.

Thanks! (…Maybe Peter will smile like that!)

Hannah will not sit still for anything – especially in a new environment, she’d be all over the place checking everything out and getting into trouble.

Otto will sit still all day, but generally not in the way you position him. He does things his own way! But as long as the pictures didn’t involve sitting on my lap, he think he’d actually do pretty well in a professional photoshoot.

My dad has a super nice camera and loves taking bunny pictures, so he got a few days worth of pictures of Otto last Christmas. When he visits in a few weeks it’ll be Hannah’s turn – if he can get any that aren’t blurry. So he’s my “professional” picture taker.

I voted “no”. I wouldn’t do it. I prefer seeing pics of bunnies in their natural surroundings where they are comfortable. That is where you’ll get the best pics of their true, inquisitive natures. If you took him to a strange place, chances are he’d be so freaked, you wouldn’t even get a good picture.

See my profile photo. Me and my bunny went to have pictures taken with Picture People at Petco. We went at a time when it wasn’t so busy and he did just fine. Can’t say that he loved it, but we got some cute pictures.

I voted yes because my bunnies don’t get freaked out around new people and new surroundings and I am actually talking to a local photographer I know of doing an outside photoshoot with my dogs and rabbits.

If I had my old camera which was professional grade I would do it myself but for some reason I can’t take a picture worth anything with a point and shoot camera

Heehee, I have a friend that loves to take pictures with her really good camera… we will have a photo shoot soon inside my house. It is my bun’s natural habitat LOL

Otherwise, my bunny doesn’t do well with sitting down in one place if I want her to be there

Natural surroundings like my living room?  Haha, it just cracked me up that our bunnies’ “natural surroundings” are our houses. Heck, Otto won’t even go outside. eta: One of my friends thought it was sad that Otto is an animal and doesn’t even realize he’s supposed to *like* the outdoors

My bunny hates the outdoors. Freak out.

                      She loves my living room

i voted ‘no’ because i like staging my own photo shoots. i have a crap camera but still find the photo ops fun. actually though… of all the bunnies i’ve had pinky is the least stressed out when i take her out of her room. prolly cause she loves her carrier so much she naps in it daily

I voted no because I have never done it, and I don’t see Sammy cooperating. I also don’t like trying to get a bunny into a costume. I think Ruby’s tiara is as far as I would want to go for that.

That said, I like bunny shots in fun surroundings. Like someone who had a bunny in an Easter basket with lovely flowers around it. Really, really pretty shots and the bunny just acted naturally. Probably tried to eat the set after it was over….

I’ve always wanted to have an outdoor photo shoot professionally of me and the bun’s. I know a fwe photographers as well, but don’t realy have the money for it, and not sure where to do them. In my own yard would be best b/c That is what they know and are comfortable with.
One of my bunnies is scared in new situations, but everyone else is pretty easy going once they get to check stuff out.

I did it – but, I did it myself at home.

This is similar to what I do at the shelter when I am taking photos of the bunnies there:
I set up a really big box, about 4x2x2 – I cut the top and 1 side off the box – this way the buns are surrounded on 3 sides. I draped a sheet over the box so it looked nicer. I set up some lights – but not flashes. Then I put in some props so the buns have something to play with.
My husband and I got Kay & Winston and placed them in the box while we blocked the open side. I then took a bunch of photos.

those photos are not on my current computer. But if I get them on soon, I’ll post them.

Aww, you should definitely post those pictures as soon as you get them on your computer! I would love to see them.

Peter has turned into such a camera wh*re!! He loves his picture taken, it’s so cute. Between my mom and I, we probably take like 10 pictures daily of him. And he’s not only a camera wh*re- I taught him how to give kisses, so he kisses everyone!

So when we get our pictures done, that shot will be super cute
